As someone with two alts on Crystal, both Balmung and Mateus... I've seen more horny people on primal, where my main character is, than I did anywhere on Crystal.

Meanwhile, many others have clearly found it wanting and unsatisfactory. From my perspective, it isn't well-formulated at advertising something that's happening in the moment and very limited for what it can be used for otherwise.
Personally, I don't see why an "Other" section for a Party Finder can't include advertisements regarding Roleplaying, as it usually revolves around joining others in some area as a group (otherwise known as a "party") and it uses "content, other than battle content" (such as housing, fashion items, emotes, and more). If they really want to remove such things from the only place where players really can put up an immediate, effective advertisement, then they should consider creating another bulletin board of sorts specific to roleplay, that is easily accessible.
It's more than that. People look at Lucky Bancho like it's the bible and take every opportunity to use it as an excuse to show people that anyone who rp are unable to raid as well. It all flared up when the severs got reassigned and the world visit arrived and it's flaring up again now that data center travel is coming.I think a lot of people here aren't RPers, just people who think the "rpers are all deviants" thing is silly considering these players are the ones playing the game all the time. I don't really rp myself but if someone enjoys the game in a way that isn't hurting anyone, let them.
"Now I can go to Balmung to erp."
That is what needs to be addressed, the actual rule breaking. The problem is people see rp as a whole as something that needs to be done away with completely and sees anyone who rp as the rule breakers.
The two of us used to play on Balmung, actually...and we're both role-players ourselves so that's quite the bold assumption and not the 'GOT YOU' moment that I think you were hoping for.

You are right. Just feels like there's quite a few here that think.their way of play is the only way and damn anyone else who thinks otherwise. It's more than that. This is a good start. Hopefully those who got warned or suspended get an apology and have the strikes taken off of their accounts.Got an e-mail from SE after sending up a letter:

Sure, it could stand improvement but it does work.
If you use Fellowship Finder, what's the first option that shows up in the search filter? Role-playing. What's the second? Player events. I use the two filters together and the 80ish listings get narrowed down to 18, a few of which are *GASP* RP night clubs (others are different forms of role-play).
What Fellowships aren't are live chat and I think that's why so many players ended up disappointed. They were looking for an improved linkshell when Fellowships were intended as a way to advertise player generated content like the clubs.
