It is not the responsibility of anyone to police what underage players do other than the parents of those underage players.
Oh, you're one of those "lalafells are children, actually, in spite of the entire body of in-game and out-of-game (a la the Encyclopedia Eorzea) canonical lore" types. Makes a lot more sense.
"It's not really a 'moral panic'. Unless..." <proceeds to demonstrate a moral panic>.
Just... are you listening to yourself right now man?
Nobody here is asking for that. You're putting words in people's mouths with that one. From the overview of what I'm seeing. Most people would be fine if SE came out and blunty said: "No more adult themes in PF."
Everybody is just focused on ERP instead that it's all RP'ers and putting stuff in PF, which doesn't harm anybody, being removed without warning as it's not in the ToS.
You know, you can just call "large segments of the community" what you really think of us dirty roleplayers instead of dancing around it like a coward.
I said earlier in the thread that I supported a separate RP section in the PF actually.
I think that a crack-down on ERP is warranted though.
Everybody has a responsibility to act in a dignified and respectable manner when playing this game. If someone does not know the age of another player for certain then they should not be partaking of adult situations with that player. It doesn't matter if they lie about their age or if their parents aren't aware of what their child is doing online. What matters is...that players do not prey on such victims in the first place.
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell, and tainted beyond ascension — he chose the path of perpetual torment.
In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured Party Finder, seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Game Masters, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him...
