No one is giving you crap for not liking the story, they're giving you crap for having an opinion based on a lack of experience. Okay fine you didn't like ARR, but it's absolutely not the same as what came after. You're judging a huge story based on your experiences with a small slice of it several years ago and are assuming everything that came after is the same. It's like saying "I tried grapes years ago so then I decided that I hate all fruit."

You don't have to give the story a chance. Just don't expect people to take you seriously when you say you dislike something while also revealing that you actively avoided experiencing it.

You can still go to the Royal Menagerie if you don't currently have a New Game+ chapter in progress.

Simply start up NG+ on any point after 4.1 and before 5.4 (So Stormblood chapter 4 or Shadowbringers chapters 1-3) and the Royal Menagerie Attendant will be there again, allowing you to enter and take pictures to your heart's content.

You can't abandon the NG+ chapter while in there but you can suspend it if you need to for any reason (it doesn't change it as they haven't made a permanently damaged version of it... yet).

Im guilty of skipping every scene where the two gay siblings appear. I cant stand them, there are so many other cool characters that could fill their place. But no SE must ruin every expansion with them instead of continuing using characters from previous expansions.

I dislike when people in this game give you so much trouble and say how they feel bad for you for skipping the story or say all these mean things.

I dislike the story because i find it incredibly boring. I mean it is a snoozefest. even shadowbringers. I skipped everything. every cutscene.

I enjoy the gameplay and MMO atmosphere. People need to stop with this "omg youre skipping story in a FF game HOW DARE YOU, im going after you and your family!!"

I enjoy the games gameplay, design, music, zones. every MMO aspect of it. I dont need the story and i am having a blast without falling asleep.

Please let people play how they want and stop insulting them for not liking the story.

The lore of the game is dead (book/novel) and game itself doesn't even gives 2 cents about the lore, best suit for you
