New hairstyles please

I feel like that some of the design staff at Enix is still stuck in the 80s/90s and likes mullet/single anime bang hairstyles a bit too much, I wish they'd hold 2 hairstyle contests. One for Viera/Hrothgar and the other for all the others.

I think they should also add Rinoa, Yuna, Ashe, Fran, Dagger/Garnet, Terra, Irvine, Squall, Sephiroth, Basch, Lenne's hairstyles as well and not "knockoff" versions of them. Also, port some racial hairstyles over to other races like Mother Miounne's hair to humans and Au'ra. We need longer hair, or at least the illusion of long hair styles (sideswoops, ponytails that have a long trail, long braids) and long flowing hairstyles that don't get wider at the bottom like it's bottom heavy. I would enjoy seeing curly, coily hairstyles. More real world, practical hairstyles (nothing frou-frou or overdone) but like a normal looking ponytail maybe two, one that's obviously aimed more for male and the other looking more feminine and no weird hairline. top knot buns, normal braids, hairstyles with normal fringe, windblown, short dreads and so on. The majority of hairstyles are short, boyish hairstyles and the rest are just anime/Cloud knockoff hairstyles that are shared between all races aside from Viera/Hrothgar they each have racial hairstyles that are really the only decent ones outside of the feminine contest ones. Viera customization is a massive disappointment, and Hrothgar are goofy. I don't think they'll ever be updated and what we have with them is what we will always have.

Speaking of bobs, I really wish for a Android 18esque style bob. A real proper bob that doesn't have baby fringe. There certainly needs to be more variety and not 4x of the same hairstyle from different angles or a different accessory color. Why they didn't just add a slider that changes accessory color is beyond me. offtopic on that though.
There needs to be better short hairstyles that don't involve looking like a fucboi for certain.

It would be nicer to have more actually short hairstyles. Not long hair that reaches your shoulders, not bobs or messy hair that reaches your chin. Non-hyur races have like 3 actually short hairstyles and most of the time 2 of them look like crap. I've had the same style since SB came out because the rest look awful.

I second this. As a Roegadyn male, I find that I only really like the hairstyle I currently like. Since it's a race exclusive, I'm just lucky it happened to be on Roe.

I think it'd be cool if we could get some male hairstyles that have the sides shaved with tattoos on the scalp. Granted I'd be happy with any new masculine short styles. All we've been getting is long and feminine styles. That last one was real bad.

If I understand right (having admittedly not poked around at the models in the resource files to double-check this), the biggest problem are the Hrothgar; people have said that each of the Hrothgar face options is an entire head, each of which is a different shape. Which gives some nice variety in profile, but means you don't make a hairstyle for the Hrothgar to give them hair, but rather a hairstyle for every possible head a Hrothgar can have.

I know we have shorter hairstyles, but I’d like a more decent variety. I mean I know short hair styles aren’t the easiest because you can only do so much but I really want Auron’s hair. Or FF7 Cid.

I'd be especially eager to see Hien's hairstyle added to the game as well as some more short hairstyles that are designed with male characters in mind first and foremost. I don't mind unisex hairstyles in theory, yet in practice it's clear that the majority of new hairstyles are designed to be feminine or androgynous. More variety would be great, especially since globally the split of male and female characters is roughly equal.

I'd definitely like to see more hairstyles. Especially the 2B one, I'd love for everyone to walk around with that except myself of course.

MORE short styles?! I feel like at the rate they're going they're just going to start releasing bald heads. It's going to be buzzed head, bald head, bald head again but with a slight tint-LIKE PLEASEEE NO MORE SHORTTT well ok ok. For guys yes. but PLEASEE oh my god...the female hairstyles were so lame I swapped genders all together. Every hairstyle that came out was short!!

Like I get it, gender neutral, but it shouldnt be 10 hairstyles come out and all of them are shoulder length and neutral attempted. I'm sure we've all seen women in real life before, at the very least once. Me I see one every morning in the mirror so that's how I know for sure! Some of us do have long hair!!! Some of us even have medium length hair! (medium meaning to our chest, not our shoulders. Shoulders is short). Now, I know some people like to complain a lot about hair clipping, I know I know...but luckily I'm here to tell you today Square that those people will never be happy-not until you make a whole new game altogether so let's just go on ahead and slip some new more feminine styles in. NO not with 20 braids in it!!! I know you. Medium-Long, with bangs. Pick up a womens fashion magazine and go from there. Non-no, Popteen, Seventeen, ViVi-I know Japanese fashion magazines very well, they have great ideas for you to flip through in there. As for mens hairstyle, short and cool looking. Please and thank you.
