How is this being elitist? When you hot 30 there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have the job crystal equipped. The op was just helping the person out.

If people want to RP then power to them even if it's not my thing. But there should be a bare minimum of decency when you're playing other others that are not your friends. Don't skip your job quests if you're going to que.

Don’t need to pay their sub, only need to have the supporting vote to kick. Furthermore, the lancer doesn’t pay the other 3 people’s sub so they should avoid queuing as a burden on other people.

They need to treat classes as limited jobs beyond 30, like blue mage. Content only accessible through pf in premades, etc.

We don't pay their sub, no, but they don't pay ours either, and they're actively ruining 3 other's experience with it. Weird how that excuse works.

Ok so maybe mandatory isn't the way to go, it was just the easiest thing I thought of I'm no code wizard. I'm all fora night of fun with the FC but that's a far cry from a 55 CNJ showing up to heal your roulette.

Also, yes I'd so take crystals for my non-combat jobs.

It absolutely should be mandatory. In pre-HW content, you MIGHT be able to justify no soul crystal due to more cross job spots but since those were removed there is literally zero reason to not have a soul stone equipped.

Especially in DF content where you play with other people who didn't sign up for that. You are not helping the gorup in ANY way by not having a job stone equipped, you are hurting the group. And that shouldn't be rewarded or tolerated.

Easy solution, give the first SC on a new Char out with the Main Quest and a short explanation Quest or Cutscene. I bet most common issue is that new people focusing on Main Quest and leveling and simply ignore the Job Quest because they dont know how important it is. For them its sommething without top priority and could be done later.

In truth GLD can get away with doing dung content with just a crystal even at the higher levels. NN had this debate and we put it to the test. Healers more or less do all the heavy lifting we did the first HW dungeon with an entire group with no soul crystals it was slower but not difficult. Though in 60+ content we had a hard time with no soul crystals though we went back with just the tank not using a soul crystal and it really felt no different from another dungeon run even did wall to wall pulls and it was nice different from healing your avg tank that does not pop cooldowns. It sucks but it is not as much as a handicap as many would like to make it out to be.

You can do a lot of things you shouldn’t. That doesn’t mean other people will put up with you, though.
