World Merge - Singapore/ SEA / Kuwait Players (GMT+8)

A lot of the GMT +8 people on Gysahl are intending to go to World 6 or remain on Gysahl depending on the options given to us. I am not sure what Leo's issue is but it isn't representative of the majority of Gysahl +8ers

Firstly, from what i see most gmt+8 community can move to any server to achieve the objective. unless Gysahl community INSIST Gysahl is final place but i don't see that so far. Forgive my selfishness that i have my own reason to leave Gys.
By all mean, server just name and i don't see really matter to the rest gmt+8 community. By not voice out my request, i might move to other world secret which will result community lose few members? yeah few members is not big number maybe you all can just lose it by choose Gys or don't even care. But, i need to voice out coz i wish to meet more player with my dialet cantonese in international game like ffxiv btw, arent u gmt+10? this is how funny Gys is.....

P.S I try my best to contact other gmt+8 player i knowto read abt this post, so they know where to go next.

Are you with Tutu, Magnesium? because Tutu said he don't really care which server he goes to, i believe.

Personally I am GMT +10, but I was posting on behalf of a GMT +8 friend who can't access the forums right now. And from what I understand Gysahl was the unofficial oceanic server back when the game started, so it has a high population of people from GMT +8 to GMT +12 which makes it ideal for combining servers to as that would mean for a large oceanic community and a larger player base that can take part in events together

And to some people server isn't just a name. There is sentiment and attachment to a particular name and to the community has a whole.

I am in Thanalan Alliance, which covers GMT+8 to GMT +12. Avan Guardian is kind of an ally LS and together we have set out to move to World 6 or remain in Gyshal, whichever option arises to us.

Do note that this thread is about GMT+8 and not GMT+10. It just so happens that gysahl has a large population from australia, which also makes it easier to group up anyhow as they are not on the other side of the world. you dun have to be so resistant against it. Besides, this thread will bound to attract other HK yan >.>, which just makes you lose out on what your original objective is.

It's not, Server 6 might be final place for Ghysahl members, but for the rest of us it's still not decided so still keep checking here. I'm sure Tutu will come and explain later since it was his LS that was interested in bringing this community together.

@Magnesium, with all due respect, if you aren't here to discuss or compromise about your choice of being in server 6, please do not turn this thread into something it wasnt meant to be, we're here to gather support.

There is alot more than attachment to server name to alot of us that has problem doing any contents due to our timezone. But, thanks for participating and feedback

It is not my intention to come off as arrogant or domineering. When the announcement of the server merge method first came out, there was a lot of panic about what to do. We decided on a simple plan to move our linkshells to the same place and hopefully maintain the connections we have with our friends. World 6 was chosen for its alphanumerics (G -> 6). The whole server merge method may yet change which may affect our plans. We would love to combine with oceanics from all servers and are open to discussion. World 6 is our "fall back" plan so to speak.

Yes, i have been saying that server merge spec will be changing soon based on recent feedbacks and current numbers means nothing. I believe most of the servers community are doing the same thing, trying to get everyone into a server to keep the community as of now. Hopefully we can come into an understanding and be able to join under one server when merges happens

To set things straight a littile

1) Objective of this thread is to pull people from same timezone +8GMT together to form a larger community
2) Be it which world u choose, hope this will be a reference and source for players to choose their server
3) Any discussion here, like factual or numbers for players for us to proposed to our LSs is greatly welcome
