ToS is still clear on this. Crystal clear on this. And even if not, as stated before, the Devs have outright said they will not ban those using tools to facilitate NORMAL gameplay.

Regardless of how you personally feel, this matter is not up for debate AT ALL. And I've no idea why you brought this matter up in a thread about someone who CLEARLY was using automated gameplay mechanics, not assistive gameplay mechanics.

I mean... OP's account is apparently still active. And my position is, as it has been this entire time, that it's probably more worthwile to fix the system than punish a specific user, particularly if the grounds for punishing them are shaky in the first place, based on a lack of clear distinction between their chosen method of circumvention versus any that would be hardware based for the same result, given that the purpose of rules in the abstract is not to cherry pick who they apply to or to support a situation where players enact punishment for an infraction.

I'm trying to explain the reality we live in, one where that didn't occur, and provide what just might be the reason it didn't occur, and why we shouldn't want it to occur, in favor of something different in the future which would be better for everyone. I don't think this is actually that controversial of a statement except maybe for folks like mister damage-control-over-obvious-case-of-mistaken-identity up there who just wants to see some blood.

Can you go ahead and make one of these for those poor poor ps4 players who have disabilities? Since it's clearly not an argument, as you say, then why are they excluded? Or do people with disabilities only matter to you if they bought a PC instead of a PS4?

If you can't do that, why not offer the PS4 players with disabilities a free move to PC? Surely if you care about them, you'd at least consider arguing that, yes? Oh wait that'd be making it an argument, since it very clearly wasn't before hand.

I don't know why you guys are still arguing with this person. Reading all the posts (I've had popcorn while doing it!), it's pretty clear they are arguing in bad faith, are doing mental gymnastics to justify cheating, they are a troll or they just like arguing for the sake of arguing (which I guess could be a form of being a troll?).

You make a stupid statement like auto clickers can't move a mouse and I respond to that statement. You make other statements like what the OP did was not botting and I respond to that statement.

I don't think your future is the way forward. I have no problem with the system changing so that players no longer need housing bots. You're calling for more botting and I don't agree with that or your weak accessibility argument.

Make what, accessibility software? Sorry, no I don't know how to do that. As I understand it accessibility has improved for consoles the past few generations, but I can imagine on the software side there's still some frustrating limitations. That said, it's like... I don't think I need to be a software developer to advocate for the existence of software? Like, I'm pretty basic at cooking but that shouldn't prevent me from advocating for the existence of food right? I'm not a chemist but I can like... believe medicine should exist.

Particularly if there was like, a specific medicine that was useful for like, dealing with MS or the side effects of chemotherapry, it would kind of seem to me like a blanket ban on that medicine just because maybe there was a perception other people abused that medicine would be a bad thing and that advocating for decriminalization would be a good thing right?

I dunno just a thought.
