Save your effort, it seems people in this thread are not able to look outside the box and accept another opinion or point of view. If you don't live 100% by the rules you are the criminal that deserves to be punished, no matter how reasonable your motive or argument is.

this is so funny. OP cheated, regardless of any understanding of their reasoning, did so in an incredibly lazy way (they make programs that will stop if they reach a menu that is not the housing purchase menu to prevent this situation, or heck even just keeping the 14 tab open and keeping an eye onwhat the program is actually doing), and so another player got an easy 7 million gil.Save your effort, it seems people in this thread are not able to look outside the box and accept another opinion or point of view. its not a deep philosophical thing. its just funny and I will continue to laugh at them.

It's a lot of banter, but mostly arguing pointlessly while agreeing on the same points.Save your effort, it seems people in this thread are not able to look outside the box and accept another opinion or point of view. I'd personally push the topic further and say that if you partake in the current system of placard camping, you're just supporting the system and showing SE this is something you're willing to do, even if it sucks. You shouldn't? If you disagree in any way with the system, you should boycott it. But obviously people won't do that, cause they really want a house. :P
That is how the world works, yes.
You purchase the game and decide to use the product, which creates an agreement between you and the company that you abide by their rules. You tick "yes" to "I agree to the terms and conditions". Whatever your opinion on those rules is or how reasonable you feel they are, you've agreed to follow them.
So yes, breaking them is wrong and you deserve to be punished if you do. If you felt their rules were unreasonable, you have the choice to discontinue using the product.

Yeah, it's on them. I mean, using auto clickers is a risk and it's a choice. You reap the consequences. But it's just one face of the desperate lengths people go to get a house.this is so funny. I don't think anyone is contesting that. That is how the world works, yes.

Making gil is relatively easy even for a new player if they know what they are doing. That's not to say that there wasn't nefarious means involved because I don't know, but...it's not impossible. As to the rest...yeah, not really sure what to make of the situation to be honest, but most signs point to an auto clicker of some kind. If they were online when it happened, then they didn't just magically have their gil stolen. This is something I've heard of on more than one occasion. Someone is trying to game the system (as imperfect as it is), and someone else beats them to the punch. Then they set their own retainer up to give that auto clicker a lesson or two about not using them. lol
If you're making yourself sick by clicking a placard hoping for a virtual house then you need a serious reality check.
