I don't think it will be the moon, since it's not a secret anymore, maybe some secret area inside the moon, or in the dark side.

But I actually have a different theory, based on the many ffiv references and the information we got in ShB, I think it will be the underground.
    ShB spoilers

Since Yoshi said we are ending the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga, we should also be facing the cause of the final days, that as we learnt was caused by a sound from deep within the star, even if the origin of the sound was later divided, part of it should remain within the source.

I could be completely wrong tho, I'm by no means a lore expert. XD

The landmass is much, much larger than the isle of Val which has had 4 full-sized map zones.
Its almost as big as Thavnair.
It's perhaps comparable to Hingashi, for which we got a city hub, Kugane.

The Sharlayan's have been hinted at having more knowledge about Hydaelyn, and in ShB a lot of parallels were drawn between them and old Amaurot.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if their involvement is instrumental to concluding the Hydaelyn/Zodiark story.
That’s fair, I believe I did get them mixed. Very interesting though!

Also mention that Alphinaud switch to Sage is in the MSQ really makes me think the possibility it is our main hub is possible.
While I'm on the side if Sharlayan being among the unannounced zones, the Sage reveal trailer seems to take place in Gubal Library. You can even see the burnt book from after the second boss in at least one shot. This is likely so they can show off the job's Sharlayan roots without showing unrevealed zones though.

If FF4 was any indication, there was a sort of equivalent to the Crystal Tower on the moon ("Crystal Palace"). This is the place where the Lunarians are in a sort of hypersleep.

I expect a sort of dark or corrupted crystal tower dungeon, and I expect a journey into the moon's core (in 4 it was a crystal cave of sorts, but I imagine it will be "Ascian-Tech-Cave") It could be the fallen body of Zodiark himself.

I also expect there to be Lunarians and a "Face" on the moon a la Moai.

    -alternatively-

FF4 also has a huge underground map. The logo for Endwalker does look like a planet with a hole in it.

That wedge shaped object in the logo? I assumed that was an airship (note the 'flame' at the bottom of the wedge seeming to be it's propulsion), and in keeping with FFIV references, I immediately said "LUNAR WHALE!". Then Yoshi announced the Lunar Whale was going to be a mount for the online Fanfest.

Or, it could be something like the Lunatic Pandora from FFVIII which could move and had a connection to the moon (or maybe I'm just desperately throwing FF references here hoping they'll stick).

well if it is the moon it's not exactly a secret, it's the first thing we saw on the trailer, it's even on the logo! now it is certainly possible that the moon is the final zone, however it could turn out to be an earlier zone and the final zone is something that hasn't been revealed.

Was an aside thought a long while ago, to explain that Zodiark's sacrifices weren't 100% as bad as they sounded (not saying it's not 'awesome, plz eat me Zodi'), but the special zone could be inside of Zodiark.

I started the idea from Mushishi but I also become a bit more confident of it's possibility when I learned that Yoshida said he likes Mushishi, one of the Mushi, which was quite cool, is the reason when the main character has his special eye (and is missing one). The darkness Mushi slowly turns these living things to darkness and then they seem to vanish, but through some events Gingko gets to see that they are living in a new beautiful sort of state (one great giant blinding light fish creature).

Sooo anyways back when some people were talking about clear evil and good I had made an attempt to suggest that Zodiark maybe wasn't sacrificing things as much as he was internally purifying. He had them pass through and into him like a giant water filter, extracting what was causing the issues (like preventing people from allowing their creation magic going wild). So naturally Zodiark would be taking some free will (both if you're outside, as he's like "immma fix you whether you like it or not" and inside as he has removed some issues). It neatly explains why he seemed to have an unending thirst for sacrifice, because he was simply doing his function- purify everything and bring order to the world.

Further reference, being that we've Anima and so we've may have some inspiration from FFX - which would be inside Sin. Then we've a number of hints with Zodiark being on the moon and we've the whole FF4 stuff with going to the moon and the decent potential of going within the moon (FFIX as well), the twist then being you're going inside Zodiark.

We may end up needing Zodiark to help us or for the purpose of some merging of the two primals to return from all the chaos. Maybe Zodiark represents order and Hydaelen free will, there are times when we sacrifice will for order (like wearing masks) and there are times we sacrifice order for free will (although those freedoms are constantly under attack by whoever is in power lol). Endwalker representing trying to walk the path of order and chaos (free will).

Anyway, my basic answer is still 'inside da moon' but I want to add a ticket to 'inside Zodiark and or Hydaelen'.
