I'm not sure if the amount of silver coins one gets from each run is set or if it varies. But SE could easily set so you could buy the hair, and the mount for basically the amount of coins you would get during the number of runs you'd need to run for the probability of not allready haven gotten it through a drop to be in the 5-25% range, depending on whatever they feel is appropriate.

Especially since they made the regular armor undyeable and the dyeable augmented version is near impossible to obtain. I'm getting silver and gold coins but don't really have a use for them since I can't collect the glamour.I'm not sure if the amount of silver coins one gets from each run is set or if it varies. Yep, and if there was at least a way to "earn" the hair in this way, it would actually encourage players to keep doing the content. Right now with buying it from the Market as the only realistic way for most players to get it, most players who want it will just do anything but Delubrum so they can earn the money to buy it from the Market.I'm not sure if the amount of silver coins one gets from each run is set or if it varies. They clearly thought people would be willing to run DR hundreds of times, so they sprinkled some desirable rewards within with a low drop rate. A drop rate that IF you did run it hundreds of times, you would probably get the items.Considering the PoTD apparently isn't even a guaranteed drop for memories (wow!). Similarly, it seems to me they thought their dyable judge armor would be enough to get people through a 48 man savage where you can lose hundreds of thousands of mettle FOR JUST PROGGING. Plus not even bothering to fix Castrum until what, next patch right? It's ridiculous!

It depends on each person mentality. When the drop rate/chance to get an item is too low, i always end up losing interest in it. I ran the Nier raids dozens and dozens and some more dozen of times because I liked the gear, the raids themselves and the music, but I hardly ever saw the two rare minions (the black pod and 2b) and eventually didn't care about them anymore. Delubrum drops are going down the same path for me. I don't enjoy doing the same thing hundreds of times. As for buying it from the market, i know it is in game currency and so it doesn't matter (if you can afford it), but I just would never spend so much in a hairstyle (that moreover I can't even preview on my character), it's simply not worthwhile. There are people with a lot more patience for repetition than I, for sure. I guess I am not a big fan of anything Bozja overall: aesthetics, rewards, mettle system, bottlenecks. I don't hate it, but it's not a part of the game where I like to spend time.

The prices will also remain high due to fact that a large chunk of the players are locked out of DR and can not help farm.

Hopefully they will address some of the problems with hotfixes on Tuesday. If the rewards for Castrum are suitable enough the flood gates will open, at least for a little while.
I've run Delubrum 32 times so far, and my wife 27. We haven't seen a single item drop from the gold chests.
Now normally I wouldn't be like 'wow this is wild' except for the Hairstyle. It seems weird that the winner of the contest and arguably the most popular hairstyle of the bunch is locked behind a system of just sheer luck for content that takes on average 40 minutes per run if you have a good group.
At the very least, make some the items purchasable with silver/gold coins! Or at least just make the hairstyle purchasable. I don't see why the long awaited winner of the hairstyle design contest is the roughest one to obtain and why it isn't also backed up with the option to purchase it.
I hope this doesn't come off as whining! I don't mean it to. It just feels very hrmmmm for a game that's usually so good about not needing wild grind times for items (Within reason) put in content that is taking nearly 40-50 runs to even see a chance at a gold chest drop, especially when the content takes roughly double the time of any alliance raid run.
I just hope I'm not alone in this? Usually I'm so happy with the content in FFXIV but the Bozja stuff feels....I dunno. Kinda eh.
I got in a string of 20 minute DR runs last night. It's not supposed to take 40 minutes. Once people catch on to using actions it shouldn't take that long on average.

Just buy them from the MB and save yourself from the headache. Although don't do it on the first week because you think it will remain rare and expensive (I'm an idiot).
