Yeah, no.. they aren't really exotic. If a person wanted to be nice, they could say femroes look weird, but that's the best I could see it.

It's a matter of perspective. I actually think the only good auri face is 4, but hate the pincers so I'll never play them. Their tails also come dangerously close to their butthole and don't line up with a natural tail alignment at all.

I think femroes are hotaf but mostly because I don't think short women are attractive as a baseline.

It actually KILLS me!! I live near the sea so I want to wear the mermaid fins so badly. I cave, live in it, have the alt to play with it when I have the itching need of "I can deal with it. I can live with it." Just looking at the tail for too long just begins to tear at me, and I have to swap. Not to mention it clips into capes and other dangling effects (another reason I can't play miqo'te). Perhaps if they ever decoupled horns from faces I could stick to lizards.. Viera just offers me more of what I want with less design flaws (in my opinion).

That all aside, manish or not, I think I would much rather f hrothgar to be like lady roes. I like their build and sharp features. I just think they highlight a greater issue with body design in this game where everyone has kankles and wrists the size of their forearm.

Alt just doesn't work for me, I always go back to my au ra. It sounds like you actually like face 2 au ra quite a bit. I do too! I've played it several times on my main, and my alt is currently it right now (she's gorgeous), but it's really just not the same.. Yeah, I agree on tails. Specifically miqo'te's though. There isn't that much glamour in the game where an au ra's tail really clashes - it's the easiest to work with too. Admittedly, sometimes it can look nice. Sure, yeah, the capes on some of the new judge armor, but I didn't like them much anyway. Their other features are just too good to pass up! Always liked au ra, quite a bit.

Viera is great, them and au ra are my favorite races. If only it wasn't for their limited status.. I'd say no access to purchased/unlocked hairstyles, is a much bigger issue than au ra tails, or horns. That's me though. I have only grown more annoyed over time. I switched to viera day one ShB actually, was this exact au ra previously (old, original preset), but them being limited, especially on my MAIN just gnaws at me. I can't do it. Like, I just can't. Maybe on my alt, but I have OCD, and my alt and main have to be the same race, for some reason. (They both have the same birthday, and same diety too actually..)

Au Ra are a full race, and never have to worry "if I can use that hairstyle", "that new hat/helmet", etc. Especially with a new expansion coming up with a ton of new gear, that I BET YOU viera aren't going to be able to use. Like EVEN IF come May or whatever, they announce new hairstyles, they still have the issue of further support down the line... Won't be able to use new EW hairstyles, the EW headgear, and probably won't even be able to use artifact headpieces. IT SUCKS! Like I said, that's a bigger issue, and a much worse design flaw, in my opinion.

Moving on to female hrothgar, I am hoping reivaxe is actually right here, if they ever do come out with them. I'd like them to be more like the art, more hourglass shaped, a bit smaller than femroe. Femroe, frankly, just shouldn't be a basis.

Well, I wouldn't play femhroth either way, but I just feel like basing them off femroe would be an extreme disservice to the race. Not only would they be a beast race, they would also just generally look too masculine. Like, I'm sorry, but there is a reason femroe are like one of, if not the most unpopular race/gender in the entire game. Female hroths should at least have a chance!

I just hate the pincer horns more than I hate the face, to be honest. Face 3 au ra has so much character and sass to it. They look older and wiser with much more personality to me. I try to capture it in face 2 (Best horns by far) but after a while they just look so vacant to me. I have sort of learned to live without hats, and there is only one hairstyle that they've released in the past 5 years that I actually like (form and function, as you can see from my alt). Other than that? I prefer the way gear sits on Viera. Gowns are not as bulky and plump as on the shorter races, something I enjoyed very much about elezen, but they are better proportioned than our giraffe friends. Also, as a short woman, playing around as a 6'0" woman is very fun for me. Living the dream.. but ahem!


I don't think we have much of a chance of ever seeing bulky, beastly f hrothgar. They will definitely be very athletic looking, as you say with an hourglass figure. I'd be happy enough if they looked like Khajiit, but anyone thinking SE will give us Charr are not playing the same game I am.


I am also of the opinion that both f hrothgar and m viera are a matter of time, and not a matter of if. Not 6.0, for sure, but beyond that? They sound like something that is just an easy "We want to add something new that we know people will like." No risk like trying to pull Au Ra out of the woodwork and rolling the dice on reception. Also, the loophole of "no new races". Mechanically yes, they would be new races. At face value they can go, "No, no see they were just missing genders." To stop further demands of other races.

That's just how I would work it, anyway.

I played a face 4 raen ONCE on my main. She actually looked pretty good, I see the pincer horns as like demon horns. I coupled it with the spiked tail. Not a bad look, though I think face 1/2 look better. Here's the thing about au ra, the faces were built with the horns that are attached to them in mind, like even if we could choose horns, they wouldn't necessarily look good, or look as good as you would think, on another face.

Viera look great, always thought they did. The only thing that ruins it for me is the limitations. Even if I won't necessarily use a style, I don't like that I'll be left out. I literally use this hair 95% of the time on my face 1 preset! It really depends on the glamour though, trust me I switch a decent amount between them - and when I switch, it's mostly due to glamour. Each race has their pros and cons when it comes to glamour. Like your bring up Elezen, I initially disliked them. I grew to like them, I still like them right now. I have considered switching to it again, for fun, but I really need to have some glamour prepped. They can look really good in very specific glamour, but that's the problem, just very specific glamour.. those proportions definitely suck...

That's a good thing, bulky and beastly f hrothgar, would look terrible. I actually thought female charr looked terrible, they tried to be beastly... but cute at the same time, it looked RIDICULOUS!

While I do think Male viera/female hrothgar will probably get released, I'm not holding my breath. Adding a new race comes with all sorts of problems, and personally, I'd rather see them added without the limitations. Rather for SE to figure out a way to overcome the limitations - though I doubt that would ever happen.

Face 3 au ra? Like the Ruby Princess. My alt was a face 3 xaela once. She looked pretty unique. As far as au ra go. It isn't used enough, for sure.
