Q38: In terms of new races, what kind of races are you looking into and will mixed races be introduced?

A38: I don’t think we’ll have mixed races for a while. Since it seems like Viera is popular around the world we have been proactively looking into this, but since having a rabbit male might be kind of weird, maybe we’ll look into having a separate race for the male counterpart.

There's the mythical interview! Thank you very much! I went looking for it and, for the life of me, could not find anything previous to 2019. What he says there doesn't sound like he might mean "I think bunny men are weird." It sounds, at least to me, that it would be weird to see them possibly in the context of them having never been seen before? The response doesn't go into it, and nuance might have been lost in translation.

Both rabbit males and males in the bunny outfit are kind of weird, so I do agree with Yoshida here.

I just think the bunny outfit is ugly. Pants wouldn't be terrible if the mesh didn't have that awful pink tone that looks terrible on anyone who isn't a fleshy, pale skintone.

I'd rather we see a return to the Ivalice games where they introduce male viera. We're kind of fooling ourselves into thinking they will get any kind of depth or attention if they are added to 14. A quick "oh, we found one." Added to creation screen. Never brought up again.

Pretty much weird as in they're casually walking around the world. As I said Viera are 80% chance of being Female born. We can see SE very much likes to stick with this lore since Tactics introduced the Viera and 12 continued the same Lore following up with 14. Female dominant, Males are really rare and all Vieras are hostile to any non Viera in their home territory. Viera Females have the Law the "Green Word" (Forest) but some Females exile abandoning this law to explore the world instead. Viera tribes are very territorial and isolated from society which is why we're never gonna see their home in the Source.

I'll be super surprised if SE even adds males.

1.0 Male miqotes were rare, but 2.0 game is pretty much a game reboot allowing to retcon the lore.
