That's not very nice.
Searching "female Hrothgar" on twitter leads to nothing but text comments for the most part, so I take note when I actually see someone bother to make art of them who I can tell plays the game (She's a Viera player).

My preferred version of the meme is this ..

Until games start doing PSO2:NG level of freedom with their CC* the looks and limits are in the devs court.
*People on these forums should really look into PSO2:NG, it's nutty how much freedom if gives you and it very much addresses much of what I see people whine about here. The fact that it's one of Japan's biggest MMOs and is now getting a massive overhaul for its massive Western push means that I'm sure people on the team know that it's competition for FF14.
Male Hrothgar look cool af, not sure what the point is in coming into a thread like this just to disregard it because you don't like the gender that's in the game.
I think Viera were a massive waste of time and potential and the simple fact that they look human means that the limits to their heads are far more glaring a problem than people realize ... but I don't bother the Male Viera thread because I know there's no way I'm playing a male Viera and outside of not thinking they should look like Children I have zero thoughts about them.
If the devs ever make them I can only hope people enjoy them.

Ah, this again, lmao. It is ultimately up to the devs, and if they pursue the option they're going to go where they see the money being. On my end, I can only hope that the women at least end up having the same amount of variety to their faces as the men do. I know most hrothgar use the One Face (self included), but I really do appreciate the more overt differences between the four compared to some of the other races. You want a prominent snout? Try facetype one. Or something flatter, somewhat more humanoid in shape? Eyebrows? Coeurl face. Seeking something kind of orc-ish?? The Kimahri face.
Just, y'know, ideally they will have sorted out the only-two-hair-per-face mess by that point, because that does play a hand in why there's a big sameface problem. But we'll have to see.
Nobody is being Disrespected. I just simply disagree with them looking like Waifu, Pretty, soft, and human faced. That's not very nice.

I want a beast race that looks like a beast race both male and female. Id like them to have animal faces/muzzles on both Genders.
Just what I want. Your not forced to agree with me. Neither are the devs
It's not just your opinion, you are objectively correct. Having an overly human looking female defeats the intended purpose of having Hrothgar. To be fair, I don't believe SE has done that before. It's more of the MO of !@#$y Korean F2P game makers where females only exist to be sexpots.Nobody is being Disrespected. I foresee F Hrothgar being sleek and elegant, more inline with viera than roe but smaller. Then M Viera being more roe like just because, aside from F roes (and it's also sort of a stretch here), SE just doesn't do well breaking out of media trends.
I always played fem werewolves, argonians, charr, and the like in all games. M Hrothgar was not the "beastly" race I wanted because I do not want to play a man. I have no beastly option to choose.
If we're talking for real I would take playable Sahagin over anything. I think slapping in another cat race with Great Value Ronso was not just a mistake, but dropping the ball on expanding on the "bringing the beast tribes in" angle they want to take the MSQ in.
Edit:
Also, can you tell the difference between m and f on the beast tribes? Not really. One model with a "chest slider" or what have you and oh look two for the price of one.

You can for the Goblins. Goblins always have their names ending with Ix/Ox. Ix: Male, Ox: Female. Brayflox is a female goblin.

Yeah but, visibly though. You don't know if the random Goblin Adventurer attacking you on the road is male or female.
Oh cool, we're almost in the same boat. The murals pretty much confirm that the women are a bit smaller than female roegadyn, unless they decide to swerve and instead base the women off of the larger bodied queen depicted at some points. But I feel that that's unlikely, if only for gamedev convenience's sake. They probably would just base them on the usual female body as they've been doing, unfortunately.I foresee F Hrothgar being sleek and elegant, more inline with viera than roe but smaller. I'll admit to being a bit surprised at how common the "knock-off Ronso" opinion is though. I think the Hrothgar are fairly cute, and appreciate that their faces are less overall human in proportion than the Ronso's. Like, sure, it's another cat race, but you've gotta admit the Miqo'te are very barely cat people to begin with, especially when they even lost some of the more cat-like features the Mithra in FF11 had.
There's a difference between wanting something and actively being anti something else, posting that reaction and the meme reply afterward is kinda the laziest "protest" you can have (Plus, every female race in this game is someone's "waifu" as it's a subjective term by definition. Just means you find them attractive/cute in a romantic sense).Nobody is being Disrespected. I just simply disagree with them looking like Waifu, Pretty, soft, and human faced.

I respect people want different things. I personally think it defeats the purpose of making a female cat person if you're going to take a vaguely feminine cat head and slap it onto Dwayne Johnson's body. But it literally takes no effort to refrain from reacting to that when ever I see something like that posted as I don't care about policing what other people want nor displaying displeasure at seeing people want something I don't.
I focus more on sharing things I find and looking at examples of what I like from what people share online, this thread has a strange trend where people focus more on signal boosting what they are against.
Same, I kinda wanted them to go with another animal as we have cats, but I take it that with this game they think it would be more difficult to make a dog face work the way they wanted.I'll admit to being a bit surprised at how common the "knock-off Ronso" opinion is though.
