The "/10char" bit is just filler to make the post long enough - the forum system requires each post to be at least 10 characters long.

Not sure if you're aware but they're a dyeable cosmetic version of the original 440 gear purchased with white crafter/gatherer's scrip. If you haven't seen those before, you might want to check out the originals at the white scrip vendors first to make certain you like the set before you commit to buying. I bought a few of them and dyes applied in rather strange ways I didn't really like compared to the look of the original sets.

Pretty much how I felt but I'm swimming in scrip from all the gathering and crafting I'm doing for the Risensung achievements so the loss isn't hurting me that badly.

But some of the pieces are still nice for glamour, whether or not you like the way they dye. It's a shame they're class locked instead of "role" (DoH/DoL) locked.
