I dont know what Blizzard you're talking about. That transparency died with GC and the old guard.
Blizzard hasn't been transparent or truthful in years.
I might be misremembering, but wasn't that just an April Fool's gag?
Not saying they haven't made false promises. I have the physical box for Wrath of the Lich King, which includes a callout for aerial dogfighting PVP in Wintergrasp, which never happened. Just seems like an odd thing to call them on.
Regarding the WoW subject, please don't behave like an disgruntled ex. Its just silly and leaves a bad impression.
I hop between WoW and FFXIV, like me and my friends we are doing Castle Nathria raid, we are about to be done with the content. They asked me and other friend that played FFXIV back in ARR about it, we didn't go X elements is better than WoW and just spoke about the features and the level of commitment required to play contents. Now we have an army of sprouts that maybe next week I will be able to put then to do FF raids, hope they enjoy it.
Can we stop asking wow players what they think was missing, you are a wow player. Go complain about your own game, do not come here and complain about this EPIC game.
Maybe this is wrong but yes, it was a joke but later it came with a feature in one of the expas like what you say. I remember another case like the Patch of the Titans that is even in the announcement video and that they talked at Blizzcon a lot to later not talk about it again until near the launch LOLI might be misremembering, but wasn't that just an April Fool's gag?

Never played WoW so i dont get why people are making a scene in here.
Remember this is the Final Fantasy XIV Forum.
Also we dont judge players by theire gaming history.
But honestly if WoW ever makes it to the consoles i will give it a try.
But so far those are just rumors.
Consensus in that community seems to be "needs mythic/mythic+" and "needs more raids"
Also PVP that exists outside of discord communities.
And? I think it is helpful for people who are new to Final Fantasy to understand the difference in development styles. It is extremely important for people to get a fundamental overview of how Square Enix is different. That is why I titled this post the way that I did because I PROMISE you anyone who played WoW knows that Blizzard will try and reinvent the wheel since the Ion HazExcuses era started.Regarding the WoW subject, please don't behave like an disgruntled ex. They will take the hundreds of hours of work you have put into a system and throw it in the trash or in the case of their last expansion into a literal gear grinder. When Blizzard announced Shadowlands they focused the entire expansion announcement on 5 different systems verses actual content and the results are seriously showing in how many people have unsubbed since launch.
I kept waiting myself to see if Square Enix had learned from Blizzard and they continue to prove they are paying attention. When you have something that works you do not need to throw it in the trash and this allows you to focus on content which has been a major issue over there for multiple years. Here is a difference:
If Blizzard had announced "Island Sanctuaries" they would be locked behind reputation grinds, arbitrary time limits on when new features unlock and all of the Islands would look identical. I do not even need to see the announcement of Island Sanctuaries to know that Square is not going to do that because of the development philosophy of you should be having fun when you log verses feeling like this MMO is a second job.
Also you have to pay attention because Blizzard is on a path they can never get off of without blowing up the MMO and starting over again. So yeah I am watching Square Enix to see if they ever start down that path because I know where it ends no matter how you tweak it.

There is no rep requirement for hero class in WoW as far as I know (maybe in the past, but certainly not since 2018 when I first started playing WoW).
Also, regarding this, while it's not a good solution, you are able to bypass the hero class requirement by boosting a character. I wish there is a way in FFXIV to just unlock a new job like Samurai for a character without unlocking any base class first, even if it means using a job boost.
That should fall under accounts "engaging/participating in RMT," which they do terminate.
Dark Iron Dwarf?!?!? Furry fox guys!?!?? Little Elf from Legion content?!?!? All required you to grind rep on one character you may never have intended to ever play just to play what you actually wanted and it turns out faction changes are $14 so conveniently saves time. They never required you to grind rep in Burning Crusade to play a Blood Elf. Someone at Blizzard realized people would pay for race changes verses rerolling an entirely new character just to play what they wanted to in the first place. There is no rep requirement for hero class in WoW as far as I know (maybe in the past, but certainly not since 2018 when I first started playing WoW).

The Allied Race content in WoW is a poor rip off of FF14 from Blizzard trying to apply thing from this MMO to theirs and not understanding the barriers to entry it creates because to do a different class in WoW you literally need to roll a new character not just click a button and switch.
