6.0 Island Sanctuary Discussion: Expectations & What else do you wish it to be?

If it ends up being an answer for instanced housing I'm all in. Chances are it won't be however, but even then it seems like a harmless and cute addition to the game that I have no issue with.

If they reveal this is the case in May, then this was the "high expectation" news that people were waiting for.

My unrealistic hope is it's an instanced private island, maybe for FCs like the workshops, where you can farm materials and decorate. I only hope it doesn't have a "the entire server will just farm One Thing because it's the best crop"

That would actually be interesting, too. As much as I greatly dislike limited jobs, that sounds like some actually new content.

If it gives us some system like Jade Cocoon's merger, then I would really love such a system to raise and breed monsters.

I'd expect the farming to use an expansion of the existing gardening system. Currently you can grow Chocobo Food (Stat boost and Color change), minions, crafting mats, shards/clusters and decorations.

I hope we can have an instanced house in the island!

All I can think about is the little farm we had in WoW's Mist of Pandaria expansion, Halfhill.

If they can give us at least double of what joy I had with that, I'll be happy. Perhaps those who cultivate their farm enough can rank it up to build a house on it. I'd personally adore that.. Or "rented land" we pay off via doing activities until its completely ours to do with as we want al a animal crossing.

I hope they make this somehow, even if they have to find some sort partial system (closer to a wow garrison or inn than a full blown house). Just cozy place to call home- right next to all this farming and minions.

If SE cannot, or refuses, do change much about their housing system it would be nice they consider adding the concept of an optional / secondary home base for those players without. These places could take less memory by not being as customize-able (like you could get a nice cottage, and maybe upgrade it, but it's not like decorate yourself much).

Based on 8 years of promises of housing, it will not be instanced.

But if it was, it's about time we could put outdoor furniture somewhere.
