Did they mention something like this? I don't recall, although it would be a good opportunity if they wanted to introduce instanced housing style on an island, each player can access their own instanced island kind of thing?

They didn’t.

But when talking about ishgard housing, which they confirmed works the same as every other area, they said there would be plenty of plots or you wouldn’t have too much trouble getting a plot.. something like this, that was a weird comment to make. Because under current rules you’d absolutely have problems to get one.. but if everyone got something similar free, I could see the demand for the plots reducing. But then why bother with plots at all.

1. A place for those not owning a housing plot to garden.

2. A place that you can let your minions run free. (maybe assign them to little jobs around the farm). Somebody has to do the dirty work like mucking out the pens.

3. I assume some fishing when you're really feeling lazy.

4. Maybe construction of some sort. Barns, sheds, things of that sort...(optional)

Still it's too early to tell what they have in mind.

I hope it's not tedious. Like it's neat if you can grow and harvest stuff, but if I have to click on it every couple hours or I lose the crop like the gardening we already have then no thanks.

Hopefully it will function like an apartment except with an outdoors area that you can decorate with outdoor furnishings.

I expected Mog Gardens Reborn and it seems like that's what we're getting. This is the kind of content sharing I want to see more of between XI and XIV.

Sounds like ANC....where you get to develop your land and do leisure stuff and to get you hooked even after msq has ended.

Almost positive it's going to be "Animal Crossing: Eorzea Island Sanctuary".

I mean, even the theme they've discussed so far in the video is exactly the same as the current Animal Crossing.

Considering this is meant to be player's farmland. I wonder if players can build a house there if the location is a personal instance for players since a farm is not quite finished without a home for the farmer to live in.

If so then it may also become a Private home for players as well.

If it ends up being an answer for instanced housing I'm all in. Chances are it won't be however, but even then it seems like a harmless and cute addition to the game that I have no issue with.
