This just occurred to me about Chemist

I think that a lot of people wishing for Chemist do not think about the fact that any new healer will be a mage, otherwise it would need its own set of armor (which I don't see happening). Sharing armor with some other jobs wouldn't work, either, since it would be the only healer to have Direct hit and other DPS stats readily available, making more work for them to balance (which is the exact opposite of what they appear to be going for). I'm thinking that we'll end up with a Sage, Oracle, or Time Mage as the next healer.

No, it's not that we don't think about it.

Many of us realize SE probably won't deviate from the mage archetype, and thematically, it'll probably fit a similar image to the existing healers too*. (And, of course, even if chemist is added, "aether" will probably figure into the lore of how they accomplish their feats)

We hope SE will venture outside their comfort zone. They probably won't, but we can dream, no?

Ah yes the balancing healer theme. They did try that in shadowbringer and we saw how mutch they have a clue at how to balance healers.
