FFIV holds the most nostalgia for me. But when I think about the plot (no spoilers from me) and it's presentation, I feel like... it's mostly the nostalgia holding everything together for me.
(mostly have been thinking about the worlds from a table-top gaming perspective)
*description of kingdoms below* (I don't know how to do a hidden box/spoilers thing... sorry...)
Baron, militaristic kingdom with air superiority, an arrangement of mages, dragoons, engineers, and a dark knight at the helm.
Damcyan, sand kingdom with access to hovercrafts.
Fabul, Monk-themed kingdom that trains on the mountains to the west.
Mysidia, a nation of mages with access to teleportation and a large knowledge base for surface dwellers and non-Lunarians.
Toroia, a queendom with heavy emphasis on beautiful female military in forested lands.
Eblan, a kingdom that employs Ninjas?!
Dwarf Kingdom, silly dwarves need to be hugged and eaten... maybe exploded.
And several villages here and there, surface dwelling summoners, underground summoners with the espers | eidolons, a moon palace for slumbering lunarians, a village with minis, frogs, and pigs, a village dedicated to silverworking, and a desert village.
Oh it did work!!! Crazy Preview wouldn't let me see it working! GRRR!!
But now I know...
And knowing is half the battle.
G.I. JOE!!!!
