Maybe it's just because PSO2 Episode 6 hit global and I've been fighting the Photoner Armada way too much lately but... I woke up early today with a really stupid thought in my head.

The Crystal Tower is a literal "beacon" of hope.

Reactivating it on the Source will call back the Allagan fleet, and give them something they can lock onto in order to return. They weren't necessarily warp-capable before, but it's been long enough that they could have developed it.

This seems to tick all the boxes: Salina's wish, Doga and Unei's "destiny" speech, our recent field trip to Azys Lla, and most importantly: the friendly reminder that G'raha's royal blood still has a timer. Also, it would give us a way to the moon.

To be honest, given what the Allagan Empire were up to, "Allagan fleet" sounds more like a raid-level threat than something to be hopeful for. Like the Garlean Empire in the present day, it does seem like the "good people" of Allag were sidelined on purpose by those in power.

Oh, I totally meant that ironically. If it were to happen, it would be very bad news, because they'd be descended from probably the worst elites of Allagan society, returning to a world they'd probably consider their "birthright" but have no real attachment to, and have firepower that completely outclasses, well, everyone. Depending on how they go about colonization, they'd make a suitable stand in for Terra (the planet, not the esper), and coincidentally we have our Zidane already in the form of G'raha.

But if we needed a common enemy to unite against, or even just a threat on a level that Sharlayan couldn't stay neutral, that's about the best I can come up with off of established lore.
