I'm new to FF XIV. I just joined like a week n a half ago. Is this server migration going to disperse linkshells n such? it seems we will be picking a new server? I guess I'll have to read up. So far I'm not in a linkshell. And frankly this is making things more difficult for me. I played XI for a couple years but this game seems vastly different from XI... and that's not necessarily good. I keep telling myself 1.21 can't come soon enough ( that is to say it's already too late.) Just got the FFXIV guide for droid so I hope this helps.
All in all i'm having fun playing but I think I could be having more fun with some pointers.

Etelle, French Onion Brigade (we aren't actually French) is always happy to accept new members, provided you have a sense of humor, and are willing to help others. We are stationed in Uldah in the alcove across the main thoroughfare to the right as you leave the market wards.

And Amanda, even though I've never spoken to you or numerous other devotees of the game since launch, I would be sad to not see you all on our server! I'm glad it's going to be a parallel merge. ^^
