Please fire whoever hired the voice actor for Ga Bu and the Ga Bu voice actor

A child, yes, but they still sounded way too human for being a beastman. And honestly, it was awful acting otherwise, at least in my opinion. I may very well end up switching to Japanese audio at this point. Still undecided. Just the thought of hearing Ga Bu in english even one more time makes me cringe. He actually made everything I heard in PSO2 sound like art, and that's saying something.

Not a huge deal to me either. I certainly don't play this game for the wonderful voice acting though. At this point I think I'm growing tired of it, but I know I have options should I decide enough is enough. I'm not mad, but I do wish things were better.

When it gets grating, I swap the voices to a different language. I can't guage how good a VA is if I don't understand the language, but I do loathe playing in Japanese. The VA work is usually okay, but Ga Bu was like a bucket of cold water in English.

Adults doing the voice work for children is usually not a good choice.

Honestly, when I was about to hear Kobold's voices, I was expecting them to sound on the same way like this. For all the flaws in English ARR's voices, the kobold impression was more in line with what kobold sound overall.

But all in all, except for Eden's Promise voices, pretty much most of voices were underwhelming in English. And I'm not one for switiching to Japanese voices because, while corny and over the top voicing does work better in most Japanese animations, it feels out of place in most dialogues in FFXIV.

The VAs for all of the kobolds was awful, really. Didn't fit them at all. Not even a little bit.

Fair point. Though voice gives flavor, one could essentially play the whole game w/o VA doing lines

The voice was cringe, like how some early dubs where it's a grown woman trying to sound like a little boy but it sounds like she's "mockingly impersonating" a fat kid. I get COVID made things difficult, but the voice director could have done a little better. The Mord guys were better.
