Just burn switfcast to get your first Holy out, then you can chain interrupt AoE's from there for most of the fight.
Most classes in most situations can easily avoid AoE's while keeping up their rotation.
Mobs build resistance to stun so they won't be permalocked. The most optimal dps wise would still to stand inside the AOE and there's literally no reason not to just eat the aoe since they do no damage.
Don't even suggest "then don't spam holy".
By the time they're completely resistant to stun the fights nearly over, assuming the group is optimized for speed. If you're not doing a speed run then min/maxing uptime like this doesn't really matter.
Besides, a lot of AoE's have effects like stun and knockback anyways, so letting them hit you will screw up your DPS even worse.
It's not speed running this thread is aimed at your average player you will find duty roulette.By the time they're completely resistant to stun the fights nearly over, assuming the group is optimized for speed. If you're not doing a speed run then min/maxing uptime like this doesn't really matter.

You are incorrect in your last statement, none of the AOEs in the current expert dungeons have a stun or a knockback and it's very rare for a trash aoe to have one in any dungeon
The purpose of this thread is to let people know that AOEs are safe to eat and let bad players know it's the optimal thing to do

Too vague. All DPS needlessly eating every single AoE is going to force the healer to use GCDs to keep everyone alive. It's not speed running this thread is aimed at your average player you will find duty roulette.

Everyone should avoid AoE's when they can, and in the vast majority of situations they can without losing any uptime.
If you're hardcasting, can't move and know you'll live THEN it's generally fine to just take the hit and save your GCD.
Your thread doesn't spell out what the optimal course of action actually is, it just encourages people to be lazy.

If you get to a point where you see 5 aoes in a pull there's something wrong with the ptToo vague. All DPS needlessly eating every single AoE is going to force the healer to use GCDs to keep everyone alive.
