Want to do Ixal quests as carpenter, but only get leatherworker quests

It was better today, all carpenter quests. Also, I think I crafted the same things. Possibly, I misunderstood the message about the gloves yesterday and thought I could only do it as leatherworker. Or I has just better luck today.

There are no restrictions on which DoH class you can use to complete the crafting portions of the IXal quests. You just need to make certain the special gloves are equipped (which you can do with any class).

If you want to stick to CRP, you can. Once you get CRP to a high enough level it's not really benefitting from the XP, you could still craft with CRP then switch to a different class like LTW when you're ready to turn the quest in so that class gets the XP.
Keep in mind the class/job switch only works for ARR beast tribes plus the crafting beast tribe quests in HW. All other beast tribe quests will require you to accept and complete the quest with the class/job you want to receive the XP.

Maybe I phrased that not ideal, so let me try again:
You can only craft the ixal recipes when you have their special work-gloves equipped (those yellow things with the feather-like decorations).
My guess was now that you made a set for your LTW that included the gloves, but didnt made such a set for your CRP - so when using your standard-CRP set (without gloves) you couldnt craft the recipes. Switching to a LTW-set with gloves would obviously fix that - just equipping the gloves as CRP (or any other crafter, really) would also fix it and allow you to do those crafts as any crafter you want.

Yes, I never had the problem again. My guess is that I simply mistook the message, that I have to equip the Ixal gloves, as a message, that I'm using the wrong job.
