I disagree. Some people, namely the trolls in this forum and others, complain to get a reaction. they are not trying to improve anything and only desire to make themselves feel better by creating dissension and conflict. And that, is all too prevalent on the internet already.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I actually just lost my father on 11-24-20, and I'm still struggling with it, so I kind of know where your head is at. Don't forget XIV community is one of the most toxic. If you say anything bad about the game, even if it's valid concern, you deserve real death in their eyes.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, we had my dad's funeral today and it was a beautiful service. In truth I don't think we will ever realise how much something means to us until we have to say good bye but this particular quote comes to mind for me:

"When all falls down around you, rise up..."

I think that succinctly sums up my feelings on the matter.
