This reminds me of my first E5 run, where because we wiped a couple times, the entire party except me left and was replaced, after which we didn't wipe again.Trying to get my lalafell summoner alt through Shadowbringers because, hey, it's almost patch day and I've got nothing better to do. Queueing for Titania.
First try, after an almost 20 minute queue, both healers and a tank drop before I even finish skipping the cutscene. Other tank follows, and the rest of the DPS trickle out. Sigh.
Second try, everything's going smoothly enough until the add phase. Then one tank doesn't bother to pick up an add. Both healers take turns getting pulverized while Puck runs around. Myself and the other summoner in the party try to raise them, but only one healer takes it, and then dies immediately anyway by standing in overlapping AOEs. Death soon follows.
We get up and get ready to go again. Someone's trying to explain it, but the MT just runs in and pulls anyway. We get to the add phase again, and this time both tanks start fighting for aggro on all of the adds (despite Mustardseed not even needing to be tanked in the first place). As a result, one tank eats both tankbusters, without bothering to use a CD because he's too busy trying to grab threat. Which then leads to the adds wandering over to eat the healers again. Soon as we finish wiping, both tanks drop, and before I can even hit the button to find replacements, more people start dropping, until I'm the last one left.
Fortunately, third time was the charm and we blew through it with no trouble and only one death.....which was me, because I sneezed at a bad time and didn't dodge. Whoops.
Also,
Bless you.
Kaplan Zereort, the Forever Penniless
Meredith Cross, the BunBun Tank
Himeko Murata, the PantslessHealerGreen DPS

Doing Amaurot and we get to the final boss Therion and the tank dies at around 70%. Tank is rezzed and the fight continues. I noticed my health was always bit lower than expected for the duration of the fight. The tank left me with enmity and never bothered to get it back, dying a couple more times too. I spent the rest of the fight getting auto attacked as a DPS.
I suppose it was a good thing though. They died with me soaking some extra damage. The auto attack might just have kept them on the floor. Level 80 dungeon and the Tank doesn't know how to use Provoke.

This is a THING???It's because one of the group thinks it's fine to ignore the adds until 3 of them spawns and starts to tether to one another for a gigantic buff then proceed on to murder enough players to warrant the Giant of Doom spawning, cleaving the rest of the raid to oblivion.
But they are implying that enough of the adds existing together in a single lane link, and I have *never* seen that in all my time of running LotA, even when it was current.

If you don't kill the Atomos fast enough, they spawn an invincible iron giant that wipes the raid. Gear levels are so inflated in there that you rarely see it anymore, but a bad enough group can cause it.

I mean, I understand you.
That terrible run was my first time witnessing it too. I was on Group A's pad, constantly watching the failing Group B's lane. (and screaming internally)
First add spawns (succubus), ignored
Second add spawns (demon), ignored
Third add spawns (the large drake/whatchamacallit), now there are purple tether attached to all these three mobs. This one went straight to the players on their pad and murdering them. It only took 1-2 hits from this add to murder players in their lane, which normally never happened if none of the other adds exists. Heck, with the case of overgearing, soloing them is not even uncommon nowadays.
Then once enough players on their lane tank the floor, the Giant of Doom spawns on all lane and cleaved us to oblivion.
All these happened THREE TIMES in a row. Being somebody who likes to observe another player, I can't -not- notice this. It was my first time learning about this unseen mechanic.

"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
I was levelling my DRK. It was time to do my daily roulettes. I was wearing Augmented Shire at level 67.
"Eh, what are the chances of a Stormblood dungeon? It's fine, it'll probably be Sastasha or something."
Guess who got Doma Castle? Insane props to the SCH who managed to keep me up, and to the chill AF DPS who were way, way too okay with it.
I give up with you people. Forum community is absolutely unhinged. Imagine joining my alt's FC just to wait for me to come online to harass me lmao.

Oh, that reminds me when I que'd to level my warrior with trials! I haven't touched it since Stormblood ended, and there's a handful of stuff removed from my hotbars that I didn't even realized that's been removed.I was levelling my DRK. It was time to do my daily roulettes. I was wearing Augmented Shire at level 67.

So I pretty much stripped down to bare necessities that's enough to get me into Titan normal mode or Ifrit. Instead, I got Royal Menagerie. Not fun, since I ran it as a healer like a year ago.
man i swear everytime i try to level something and im only one leveling rlt from max i always get the level X9 dungeon. it wouldnt be a problem usually but im too lazy to get better gear when i got crafted on the ready for max level.I was levelling my DRK. It was time to do my daily roulettes. I was wearing Augmented Shire at level 67.

I remember doing Heroes Gauntlet (Expert Roullettes) as GNB and the group just MELTED everything! It all went so well, even that stupid Necromancer boss fight was quick and smooth and we all noticed. And. We. Just. Had. To. Jinx. It. by writing it in chat as we moved to the spectral berserker who decided to not play our game of speedrunning by moving towards the opposite side for the groupwide of where I positioned him twice amongst other mishaps that really ruined our speedstreak. T_T

Got a little more than annoyed by the near literal years I spent in Copied Factory. Tanks not ever using tank stance, everyone in chat going throughout the raid "haha I'm new" "It's all good! I love this raid". What a great community! I enjoy wiping and wasting my time! I enjoy eating multiple tank busters (literally), because apparently being new to the raid means being new to the ROLE of TANK at level 80. Excuse me for being the one to assume if you queue for tank you are gonna play tank, rather than a "dps". Why even queue tank if you aren't going to do your role? DPS get better queues in alliance raids!
Waste my time.. "I'm new", TANK STANCE IS ONE BUTTON TOGGLE. We wipe! Oh hallelujah! "I'm new" JUST TURN ON TANK STANCE AND HIT THE THING TWICE! Lord Almighty. Yeah, whatever, I am not in a good mood right now and this run of copied factory didn't help.
Now I guess I'll get reported, because I had the GALL to chat. My bad.
