Can we force players to list items 1 gil under the last listed price to stop the rampant under cutting?

Are you referring to "Shop Selling Price" or "Sells for" price? When putting items on the market boards for cheaper than NPC value.
There should be a pop up that says, You are putting these items on the market board for below NPC value would you like to have your retainer just sell the item.
Also, any items on the market board below NPC value should get auto sold after 1 hour.
Few players are going to sell an item at retainer/vendor for 10 gil when they can sell it on the MB for 100 gil even though the Shop Selling Price is 228 gil.
If you're referring to the "Sells for" price, the information is already there on the item tooltip. Check before you list.
My newly created alts appreciate the players who list their items on the MB well below "Sells for" price because it's a nice way for them to make some extra gil when they're starting out. Nothing like picking up a few Clear Demimateria III for 3500 gil each then selling it to the vendor for 5k. That 1500 is nothing to a high level player but it's a big help to the low level character who need to buy gear.
I also appreciate it as a max level player because every junk item getting listed on the MB is one less listing that might be competing against what I'm selling.
That's still undercutting.
If you don't like the price another player is using, buy the item and relist it at the price you like. You don't get to decide how I'm going to value what I'm selling.
