    To each their own, but I hope they keep at it. Machinist and Gadgeteer are both interchangeable words. It makes sense for the job to focus more on the gadgets and it's certainly not tacked on when that's the literally point of the job. This is more like if SMN pursued the Demi approach more than it did lose it.
    Also to be honest Machinist in the past was boring as hell aesthetic-wise. Nothing was impressive-looking about it with the stiff animations in HW. I like the more exaggerated approach with the animations.

    They practically also gave Machinist a second gun that can change around depending on the skill you use, which is clever design to me.

    its not tacked on you say? the four major "gadget" skills we got in SHB what would MCH loose if it lost any of them Drill, Bio, Auto and Air. the execution is very much tacked on in the context of the job not the lore. 50 MCH plays essentially identical to 80. And i would say not much disregarding numbers. Air is only relevant because Hot shot upgrades into it which seems rather off hand aswell

    that thing isnt a gun its a tool, not to say even with my contrarian instincts that i disagree the design is pretty cool

    Then MCH would just be more barebones than it is right now along with even less damage. Personally I like the addition because it breaks the flow of doing the 3-button combo which gets boring at certain points. More AoE options too than just pew pew pew in a cone.

    i literally just said disregard numbers, the additions arent bad per see but cmon just boring CD skills is this the best they can do? and it breaks the flow alright to a halt. Whats the word that comes to mind rhymes with "hacked pawn"

    Implementations may be better than nothing, a attitude thats bizzare to have, but as a whole its not much as your still doing 1-2-3 that 20/40 sec skills dont make the job fun just halt the flow of heat and your 1-2-3
