believe it or not, oxygen isnt the only gas that we need to breathe in, we also have trace amounts of nitrogen in the air we breathe lol.
78% of the atmosphere is nitrogen, that's a bit more than "trace". in fact, if the Earth's atmospheric O2 concentration were a couple percentage points higher than it is, fires would be unquenchable. Below 19.5% would be a major hypoxia risk, greater than 23.5% is a huge fire/explosion risk
