6.0 Predictions: Will it be Garlemald, Sharlayan, or Meracydia?

Ok so after rewatching the ending, the twins discuss how they feel a lack of development after retaining their initial jobs and Alisaie staring at the other scions with brand new jobs and gear. And Alphinaud reassured her that their time will come. This ontop of All this Sharlayan talk made me wonder if they’ll have a heavy role in 6.0 and strengthens the theory of going to Sharlayan somehow strengthened even more since we are divining into the hinterlands for the next dungeon

Along with the Popularis corrupted by House Brutus due to financial influence which is currently ending any peaceful resolve in the empire and into a more authoritative role. Popularis were the ones that desired a pact and priorities primal eradication. The sensible ones in the empire are now flushed out due to House Brutus actions and being a literal puppet. 5.4 will be interesting turn of events. Also where the hell is Nero

The thing about the twins and the WOL is they arrive in their starter Eorzea city-state at the same time. It's clear that even from the beginning, without having worked out the finite details, were always going to be tied to our fate. If 6.0 is ending story lines, I'm worried one or both are on the chopping block.

Good thing this isn't an anime, else I'd be worried for the WoL. This would be the perfect place for a series finale by 6.3, and such a finale would probably have Azem killed off or turned into the new crystal keeping the worlds together. Good thing this isn't an anime, so we don't have to worry about that plot point happening to him/her. But it happening to another, however... *stares at Scions in nervousness*

I'd put my money on it happening to Y'shtola. Too many death fake-outs, and she's already a master of Flow at this point to where it may as well be her.

I mean a character dying isn’t interesting if they just die to die. This not being the Walking dead. Every death has been for a point without spoiling anything

I'd put my money on it happening to Y'shtola. Too many death fake-outs, and she's already a master of Flow at this point to where it may as well be her.

If by "master" you mean "used it twice and needed help to get out both times"......

If it's a Sharlayan heavy expansion, then I expect they'd pay off a lot of stuff in regards to the Scions.
The consequences of Y'shtola's abuse of forbidden spells and her eyesight thing.
Thancred's inability to use aether.
Some major development for the twins and more backstory about Louisoix.
Ultimately resulting in the death of one of them.
Plus some revelations about Minfillia and her role as Hydaelyn's voice, possibly in regards to Venat.
I think this would be the only way to contend with some of the revelations we've had in Shadowbringers.

I could even see... the possibility of us having to make a choice, the result of which determines which of the twins doesn't make it.
Whoever survives then goes on to fill in the same role, whichever it is. It would require no more resources than they already do, yes they'd be doubling up on voiced lines for however long they continue to be relevant after that, except if they'd both survive then they'd both have voiced lines anyway.
This could be a really cool twist and gameplay option, that if done well could have a similar impact as Emet and Elidibus, especially if it's directly related to whatever concludes the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc.

From what has been spoken and shown in the 5.4 trailer...

Looks like Garlemald, Sharlayan, and even Meracydia are up in the air here and possibly none will be the location. Large amounts of Garlemald are reduced to rubble apparently, and we're starting to see towers and whatnot appear in Nym, what looks like a tempered soldier in Ala Mhigo, and several other things. I don't think we're going to Garlemald, I think whatever is about to happen is going to attack us straight in Eorzea.
