    Another thing that bothers me immensely is the blurriness of the Face paint options. I really think they need desperately an upscale, and in some cases even a rework. The painted eyebrow option looks like painted by a toddler with a piece of charcoal.

    Actually, and this is not minor, I honestly think the character customization needs a revisit in this game... Unlike WoW, not to actually change model proportions or animations, but to add to what already exist and maybe adjust some jarring things (e.g Miqo male claw-hands). XIV character customization aged well, but honestly, the only thing we have in abundance are color choices and hairstyles. If you subtract that, you'll end with characters looking very similar due to the limited options.

    Since it's kind of far-reaching to wish upon actual sliders (best case scenario), I'd wager for simply more options across the board. Below is a brainstorm of what we could have:

    1) Vibrant colors added to the color pickers;

    2) At least 2 new faces for everyone;

    3) More tail models for the applicable races;

    4) Streamline face features. There are a lot of inconsistencies, for example. Miqo male face 4 got permanent eye corner tattoos, while for face 1 that is a toggleable option?

    5) More eye, eyebrow, mouth and nose shapes across the board;

    6) Miqo'te ears separated from the hair - I mean the darkened texture that some have and some don't;

    7) Au Ra horns separated from the faces, also 2 more options over there;

    8) A 15% size increase/decrease on both ends of the height slider;

    9) Stubble for male races, and overall more beard shapes;

    10) Checkbox to use a secondary face paint option, letting you stack 02 of them;

    11) Not every Highlander male is Gyr Abanian... They need to have eyebrows if they want to without having to resort to the ugly face paint option;

    12) Add the combat voices to the voice samples;

    13) Streamline the accessories over the hairstyles. Why have the same style 4x when you can just have a separate panel to pick from the accessory color? Good opportunity to add color options to all the other hair accessories that don't have them;

    14) We could have more armor previews, like the ones in the Lodestone;

    15) Viera and Hrothgar everything - Just look at the countless threads about them;

    As we got through many expansions now, and explored a lot of Eorzea, we got to realize that not every race comes from the same place. Not every Sea Wolf is a La Noscean pirate, not every Seeker of the Sun comes from the Tribe Letter culture. There are many examples from ingame NPCs with name conventions from specific nationalities.

    My suggestion in this post is for the character creation screen to support this, and add the option to name your character if in lore there's a possibility for them to hail from certain place. It also makes sense because in the intro cutscenes, it's completely up to interpretation - and never explained from - where the WoL comes.

    Examples:
    - A Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun may have the option from generate their names from a Thavnairian name database;
    - A Sea Wolf might have the option to generate their names from either a Bozjan or Far Eastern name database;
    - A Midlander would probably have the most options out there, ranging from Ishgardian name to Dalmascan;

    Oh, I thought f another thing I would love to see changed. Since we have a ‘slot’ for things like the parasol, I wish SE would separate items like the wings on the “Angel” costume body piece. There are so many glamours I want to have just the wings with, or even just the robe. But they are linked and you cannot wear one without the other. Wings in a special slot alone would be amazing.

    Might also add Lalafells and Dwarven naming conventions as well, in fact for people that want to RP as inhabitants of the First, having a database of those naming conventions would be nice.

    Going back to Hair Color, I am a little miffed that the Hair colors have access ti more hues than Dyes and would like to see more dyes added for parity (Not sure how the saturation and shade ratios pan out though)

    I'd settle for another lore post in the forums like they have for all the other races on their naming conventions. I refer back to the Miqo'te one in particular ALL the time for the pronunciation of the tribe prefixes (C' versus K' versus Q' always gets me mixed up) and I'd love to know more about the naming conventions of the First. We have very little to go off of except for phonetic visibility (using the Tholls and Goggs for example, the -itt and -ogg suffixes being common) and perhaps some inferences we can make (Dulia-Chai taking her surname from husband Chai-Nuzz's first name, for example, and some other common suffixes among the Mystel) and I'd love to see them go more in depth about it.

    Having got a friend who absolutely loves modding, and been playing this game since beta, I have had plenty of opportunity to see minor but important fixes, though given the recent UI dev's interview boiling down to "No" or "No because it might require effort" I have a sneaking suspicion most of these will never be implemented.

    A lot of this thread has been said already so i wont cover them, so here's some more.

    Colour wheel or rgb values I find it very difficult to believe that this would not be an easy change given how the colours are programmed on an RGB value for the texture squares.

    Scrap faded copies of music Unneccessary crafting

    Materia and dye tabs I shouldn't need an entire retainer just to store all the different materia items

    Remove gear durability If data is a concern, just ditch this. It adds nothing.

    Remove the blue crystal filter on character edit/creation This almost cost me a fantasia when I got the wrong skin tone, thankfully I noticed this and quickly made an alt with my wip settings to test if it was the tone I wanted (It wasn't, selected a green up and right)

    Restore removed actions and cross class even if we can't use them in raids They filled the gap in levelling kits, and allowed for job customisation. It was great fun.

    Update glamour so all jobs can use them Another thing that makes little sense.

    Standardise the ARR and HW markers Self explanatory

    Make chocobo colour less frustrating Or at least give a catalogue of different colours we can give them. I shouldn't have to go on an hour long internet search.

    Search options in the fish guide and more information on bait, include it in search by gathering method This is a pain to do so, finding if I had caught a certain fish for a recipe, only to discover I hadn't.

    Make crafting items that require scrips or treasure hunt be marked Similar to the above, trying to locate some items is an exercise in frustration.

    Up the height sliders, bust sizes, tail sizes for the races Tall female Xaela are surprisingly popular idea. Most races shouldn't be roughly the same height either. The taller races in particular would change depending on their age. These are just values to the X, Y and Z axis that can be updated.

    Fix the graphical issues on Au Ra horns and limbal rings These shouldn't have made it through QA. The former is merely a layer thats misaligned, you can fix it very quickly. The latter is possible to do in about 10 seconds. Just draw the circle, then make a smaller one with the erase tool. Done.

    Make the book stage of the level 50 relic weapon be possible to carry more than one book at a time This stage is absurdly long even after all these years. This single change would be a huge improvement.

    Change Sephirot's mount to use his theme Self explanatory.

    Change old raid tokens to a generic equivalent I know Yoshi-p wants us to throw them away, but sometimes these old tokens are kept to gear levelling jobs, to buy glam or as mementos

    Make alliance raid gear purchasable with tokens Some of the old raids are cheesed and never pop up in duty finder. So getting the glams are impossible. It would also sort out the perpetual bad loot rolls some people get.

    Make alliance raid require full ilvl gear to queue for, and put CT into MSQ roulette Fixing this exploit would be a boon

    Make matched parties queue for dungeons in the highest level dungeon available So me at 67, a gnb at 68 and two level 80s queue into levelling, what do we get? Satascha... ffs.

    needless to say, I agree with almost everything here so far such as character creation updates, confirmation prompt deletion etc

    This, so much. Not about the background, but the filter itself is pretty annoying. That is supposed to be the "neutral" screen, yet there's nothing neutral about it. I think I've consumed up to 10 Fantasias during my game lifespan just to correct mistakes I couldn't live with. That together with hating the combat voice I chose.

    This suggestion will probably flame me to a crisp, but I would love a PERSONAL damage meter.

    Or at least some kind of DPS "Performance" meter... An UI element that goes red>yellow>green depending on how well you're pulling the numbers for your ilvl, something for me to keep my wits about when running actual content, not that Wind, Earth and Fire dummy target thing. It does not help at all in actual dungeon/raid situations, where there are a lot more things to worry about.
