Not with Ryne but I used to think Thancred had a thing for Milfilla ( Spelling? ) but I'm guessing it wasn't a crush like thing and a protector like thing? I never went back to fact check so his relastionship with Ryne confused me greatly cause I never knew how to take his relationship with Mill.
would that i could believe the same, but their posting history belies at minimum a distaste for anything outside of heteronormative norms (see their responses in the "give us the ability to turn off others' glamours" thread(s), for example)
No, it's definitelty low quality bait designed for people who's easy to provoke. Which seems to have succeded anyways, given someone has already bitten it.

From what I recall, Thancred's relationship with Minfilia and Ryne varies between languages. Can't speak for the French/German/etc. versions, but in the Japanese text it's explicitly an adopted brother/sister relationship on both accounts, whereas in the English text it's ambiguously familial when it comes to Minfilia and fatherly when it comes to Ryne. Ryne apparently never saw him that way, though, and at least one bit of text from the Eden questline refers to him and Urianger as her "mentors". Essentially, he's a beloved older friend and trusted confidant. Not with Ryne but I used to think Thancred had a thing for Milfilla ( Spelling? ) but I'm guessing it wasn't a crush like thing and a protector like thing? Personally, the only way I could see a Thancred/Ryne ship working out is a one-sided crush from the girl. Like a student crushing on their teacher. But from my experience, it's a miracle when shippers actually care about the characters they ship to begin with, rather than seeing them as a pair of Barbie dolls to rub against each other while making kissing noises. Sturgeon's Law and all that.

Bingo :-)! Since so many did that /signed as xxx person
Guess I hit some soft nerve so that person had to invent some new "phobia" for me.

I don't mind seeing more representation of minorities and underrepresented in games, but don't be so quick to say that it is "confirmed" two characters are gays simply because they hold hands.
I mean, make it your mind-cannon if you want to, it's your prerogative, but for someone to immediately scream "IT'S CONFIRMED" when it is anything but just seems silly to me.

Think it’s more of a best friend thing personally. That’s what the game implies.
When the girls make a sleepover at each others place, does that mean they are gays too?
