Things that come to mind.
1. Being able to turn the loft steps to face the other way. I'd wanted to put 2 lofts on opposing sides of the room with the stairs to them facing each other in the center of the room but could not get the game to turn the stairs to go to the other loft.
2. A male race with a size comparable to Miqo'te and Au'ra females. I'm referring to total mass, not just height. Currently the male character options are choices choosing what category of body builder you want to be, or being a potato. Given that the game is made by a Japan based company I'm kind of surprised we don't have this.
3. More customization options in the character creator. It just feels a bit outdated after playing other games that let you create your own character.
4. Moogles as a playable race... I've been salty about not being able to play the FF MMO as a moogle since FFXI back in 2002... >.>
5. SMN egi. SMN in this game feels lackluster compared to previous titles. The main reason for it is the Egi's. They honestly to me look more like cosmetic pets than actual summons. Even FFXI had actual summons though they were much smaller than the prime avatars you had to fight to unlock them. Yeah when I say lackluster I'm talking about visuals in this case. The egi's are lackluster and additionally we only have 3 summons while previous titles had more available.
Lobby errors and errors in general shouldn't close the game, it should immediately put you back at the start menu.
Alow me to change the subboss music , Shadowbringers subboss music is trash outside of Twinning and ruins the aesthetic in most like Gauntlet and Amaurot

Where is the ambition?
1. Fix the terrible job gameplay while leveling. I shouldn't have to wait until the mid 60s/70s to get all of my core job rotation and mechanics, like the Dragoon gauge. Good lord. The player should have their core stuff by 50. Stop doing the WoW thing where you feel like you have to stretch out all of the abilities the player gets across the entire 1 to level cap experience. It's okay to have nearly everything at 50 and then get maybe a couple abilities from 50 to 80.
2. It'd be a lot of effort for the team to rebalance the instances for this, but I'd like to be able to actually play with my full kit outside of 80 content, such as in HW dungeons.
3. Redo the English voice acting for ARR and bring it up to modern standards. You could still keep the old voice files and let the players select between the old or the new dubs, if you want. The old ARR voice acting doesn't inspire confidence in newcomers to the game who heard that this was was a good story heavy JRPG, and I think it'd be worth the investment.
4. Implement trusts for ARR, HW, and Stormblood dungeons. For the ARR dungeons, you would probably group up with adventurers, GC soldiers, and Scions. For HW through Stormblood, you'll obviously go through it with the main characters of those expansions, ie going through Sohm Al with Estinien, Alphinaud, and Ysalye, or going through Bardam's Mettle with Hien, Gosetsu, and Yugiri or the Mol girl.
6. Trusts while doing the MSQ in the open world. Do the WoW thing where the Trusts look like the characters to you, ie like the Scions, but to other players they look like generic mercenary soldiers. I'm not sure if FFXIV's tech can support this, though.
5. Implement more minigames. The two puzzles from this year's Rising event were really fun. I also loved the riddles from the Easter event. You could add more minigames into the MSQ and to the Gold Saucer (I spend half of my time hanging out at the Gold Saucer).
6. Use phasing to update the world as you progress through the MSQ. As of 3.3, it makes no sense for the Brume to still be in ruins with homeless people lying around. It also doesn't make sense for those guys at the Convictory in Western Coerthas to still be shivering in the snow waiting for a dragon to come to the ground so they can try to kill it to climb up society. As of 4.0, Ul'dah's refugee crisis should be declining as Ala Mhigans return home.
7. Please move the Prima Vista a little bit to the side so that it isn't obstructing the sunset in Kugane.
^^^^
The new Shadowbringers mid-boss music is terrible for almost all of the 5.0 dungeons. The old music was much more in line with the tone of the story. Remember going through Amaurot, and the eerie music that played when you fought the beasts? And then they replaced that with a cheesy rock remix, which deflates the terror of the experience.

Please allow housing to be shared among characters on the world on the same account.
Make it so sitting on something like a bench or chair doesn't prevent you from doing extremely basic things like joining a party.
Add more "quick report" options for stuff other then RMT; particularly botting.
For me it would be (some already been said):
1. Male Miqote hands (as the OP said) - far too rigid looking, relaxing these just a small amount would be much more pleasing to look at whilst retaining that "claw" look.
2. Whilst we're on the subject can the male Miqo straighten his neck a bit (not sure if anyone else gets bothered by it but they always look like they have a crick in their neck or a humped back to me).
3. Option to hide tails on Miqo, Aura and Hoth or at least fix clipping issues with them - very off-putting when running in some gear and the tail just cuts through it.
4. Re-design Summoner Egi's so they don't resemble gummy-shapes and give us more to play with. (Former FFXI Summoner main - I loved how the avatars worked/looked in that)
5. Restore pet-targeting for Summoner - I miss using Titan to tank an enemy whilst I blast away (and some class-quests were designed around this making them more complicated now).
6. Increase Trusts to other expansions (granted may take a while as they'd need to sort out programming for each dungeon but would be nice to replace squadrons with them).
7. Increase number of trust characters available - doesn't need to be Scions, could be other characters from around Eorzea or randoms like in Squadrons.
8. More character customisations.

Validation <<ERROR>>
- Hand posture when driving the Regalia
- Long skirts look stupid with most mounts
- The magitek death claw mount emits annoying sounds when "riding" it
- Can't apply glamour plates when outside of cities (why give us the ability to associate glams with gear sets and then prevent it from working half the time)
- Having to take equipment off a retainer in order to apply glamour to it
- Having to equip said item myself in order to apply a glamour from the glamour dresser
- Glamouring custom delivery NPCs can only use items I have with me, so it's not worth the hassle
- No glamour dresser in private or FC houses
- Way too many button presses required for gardening (maybe make tending an ability and allow fertilizer to be used from inventory with the crop selected)
- Firmament fates are still annoyingly hard to predict
- Not enough relevant things to spend GC seals on
- Caps for scrips are too close to what can be obtained from custom deliveries (1764 yellow scrips for six bonus returns vs. 2000 cap)
- Can't buy partial stacks from the MB
If anything the confirmations are even more annoying with a controller. Half of them default to "yes" and the other half to "no", so in some cases (like turning in items to my GC) I can just mash A and get through it, but in other cases (like entering my house) mashing A cancels it.
