Stage 4, skysung, is already squinchy close to a pentamelded aesthete. And if you don't pentameld your tools its better RFN.

For gathering, pentamelded aesthete is better in Diadem. Otherwise its an either or proposition.

Well, it is good news and bad news. Why can't they make it glow when it unsheaths? Why special effect only happens during crafting

I wonder if they'll scrap the Blessed Tools this expansion if we're already getting a glowing set. It'd be a shame to lose a reward/achievement because they simply moved it to the relic to save resources. Hoping they'll be imaginative and think up some fancy glam or crafting related mount for making one of everything.

I wonder about this as well, but assume there will not be a blessed set this expansion. Granted, all they have to do is add a glow effect to the final tool achievable with scrips. However, it would be a nice alternative means to a BiS tool, even though I think these should be the strongest tools in the game considering the grind you have to put yourself through to get them.

I just spent several weeks grinding for all 8 Skysung Tools and finally finished and my FC mate asked me how they are better than Handsaint Tools and I assumed Skysung Tools must have way better stats if they are this hard to get. But no, they are exactly the same as Handsaint Tools. They don't even have slots. Why did I just waste weeks of my life away grinding for tools I could have just bought????

They aren't the same. Skysung Tools have 6 CP. Handsaint tools have 0.

The Skysung tools will also be needed to create the final version of the Skysteel tools when they become available in 5.45 and those will be BiS for the expansion even over pentamelded Aesthete tools.
