Keep Server Merges the Same

The way SE is doing it now you can pick Server 1 and people who dislike RPing can stay the hell away from that Server and not feel connected to a server name. This is FAIR.

But what to those of us that are not necessarily members of a strict denomination of players (e.g. "RPer" "FFXI Fanatic") and have more than two friends? Can you force all of them to come with you? Maybe. But can they force all of their friends to come with them? Maybe. Eventually, the probability of those "maybes" being true gets pretty low... and then people start to leave to play with other friends. God forbid someone have two or three linkshells, and hope the members all have their eyes set on the same place.

Yeah, we lose friends, and we can get over it. Maybe that's your idea of "Fair."

And then, even if everyone convinced everyone, wouldn't just be an "traditional" merge of an entire server migrating?

My friend, I believe you have confused "fair" with "uniform."

You could still pick all new names for the servers and have it be FAIR.
