I actually LIKE the idea of Limited Jobs. My only complaint is that I wish they'd update them up to lvl 80 faster, but they're working on it.

The reason I like Limited Jobs is that it's the perfect opportunity to add BONUS CONTENT. Like, right now, I'm leveling scholar, and I'm enjoying scholar... but the progression of scholar is the same as every single damn class in the game. Join duty finder, do a dungeon, get XP, rinse and repeat. Every now and then I do a five minute quest to get a skill. However, progression with Blue Mage was different and unique. It was FUN, in a way that you probably couldn't allow in a normal class.

Limited jobs are intended to be designed around a different progression system. In the case of Blue Mage, you progress and fill out your spell collection by hunting down and fighting specific monsters. In future jobs, progression might be tied to something like collecting minions or mounts. Since limited jobs are somewhat "isolated" from the other jobs, they don't have to worry about silly things like "balance" or "consistency", either. Limited jobs are under no obligation to function in any way similarly to the baseline jobs, which is GOOD, because sometimes I want something DIFFERENT AND WACKY.

how come you only think about "It's okay being a limited job" when all thing you talk about its about the PROGRESSION only.. look at the end of it , look at the end game content of THAT job you think its fine.

Yeah you got DIFFERENT AND WACKY , but in what content you can use it? solo FATE like an anti-social person using instant kill spell? can't queue normal dungeon with random person , oh sure you're might be a TOP STREAMER that can find people to play with.. but can you relate being a person that want to play BLU while the most people in the server don't give a care about this job currently and makes him/her sit on PF for more than hours to find a party for a dungeon/trial run as BLU?

stop saying it's okay , because it's never been okay... BLU is always become dead content after 1-2weeks they got updated , once you miss the "hype train" good luck with your BLU progression.

Fun is a very subjective idea, for what it is right now, i find the concept Limited Job the exact opposite. And objectively i think it'll be a lot better if they just throw the idea out the window, being Limited Job does nothing but limits the job to it's own content and nothing else. And the experience of playing this Limited Job contrasts extremely for every people, it's either Fun or literally Not At All, just going by my group of friends, there's already so many people shying away from the job just because after you get all the skills and done all the carnivale, you're left with literally nothing.

Looking from raiding prespective, it can't be brought to relevant Raids at all with how it always lags behind in level. Savage Raid achievement? but even doing those Savage fights normally are already hard enough, while Blue Mage can cheese some of the mechanics, Tank and Healer BLU are so clunky it made the whole thing harder, not to mention there are job specific mechanics that gets scrambled around because Blue Mage are all counted as DPS even though they already took other role's mimicry.

Also while you can say by using the Limited Job concept they can ignore balance and consistency, they already balanced Blue Mage just for Carnivale by changing the Suicide skills to have a cooldown(i'd like to think they changed it for Carnivale because the other reason would be so people can't cheese Jumping Puzzle which is even more stupid). I don't think it's good to sacrifice everything else just to be different and wacky.

Limited Jobs is always to me the kiss of death on a job that they couldn't figure out or how it would take to much time to balance BLU honestly could work as long as players accept death and missile clearly wouldn't be allowed in savage content and as far as I am aware don't in the high end content they have access too also BLU DPS isn't OP compared to alot of normal jobs they probably could do with some buffing.

But I think the real problem is no one wants to see iconic/classic/fan favorite jobs slapped with the limited job label as it forces SE to really think outside the box like they had to with rdm as I remember them saying in a few interviews it was really hard to try and get it to work as it was jack of all trades traditionally with healing dpsing and buffing which just goes to show they CAN do it if they try.

I really do not want to see limited jobs slapped on say beast master or puppet master (tho at this point i think puppet master is pretty much merged into MCH) as the game needs pet jobs IMO and I know SE have said pet jobs are hard to do which is why SMN had alot of problems at the start.

But hey, I hear SE just lost 63 mill on that Avengers game so maybe just maybe SE might give the cash cow a bit more attention for a while and invest on content players are asking for....... just maybe.
