    That may be a case but they also go out of their way to keep from showing other NPCs changing clothes like when Tataru made Alphinaud leave the room when she was giving Y'sthola her new clothes in Heavensward. Then again Alphinaud had the full view of her when they brought her out of the lifestream.

    Also and I know this is from a trailer and can most likely be taken with a grain of Salt, they even show the WoL starting to take their armor off piece by piece before donning the Dragoon gear... but also in SHB trailer they show him switching like we do in the game... I honestly think its however the Devs decide at the time >.<

    The clothes weren't in a gearset for them yet when they were changing in those scenes :3c
