Totally! The YoHRa sets for example, they all look like gear that a spellcaster or rogue would wear. I wish we could use the coins to purchase glam-free versions of them. There's a difference between glamour gear (gear designed specifically for glamour and has no stats) and gear we use for glamour (which has stats and is frequently class/job locked). The vast majority of gear in the game falls into the latter category.
I'd generally agree that most gear should have class/job restrictions removed for cosmetic use only (so a MNK could use a Healing skirt for glamour appearance but couldn't equip the actual item since the stats are wrong for MNK). As it is, most gear models are already shared between multiple jobs/classes if not also roles. Some of them are even more appropriate in appearance to class/jobs than can't use them than the class/jobs that can.
The exception would be the class/job specific Artifact gear. Those sets should remain class/job locked even for glamour because they are vary much based around class/job identity.
