In the game, cottage, house, and mansion are three different things. Why do I know this? Because I know significantly more about this topic than you do. Your attempts at trolling isn't going to work.

Four weeks. Fifty hours. I spent fifty hours in the game and grinded gil past the point of exhaustion so that I have enough gil to buy a medium house for my free company.

I stayed up for hours, pushing myself to fatigue so I have a shot at getting a house.

Then, when the servers open, I was immediately greeted with multiple server errors and by the time I logged in I was able to at least grab a small cottage.

But now, fifty hours of my time making gil were wasted. I spent fifty hours for nothing. In any other video game, this would never happen. You always get rewarded for grinding so much.

But in this game, depression, desperation, dejectedness greet you all because of one thing: housing.

I was one of the lucky ones: I at least got some housing. I'm still disappointed, as are the members in my free company but at least we got something.

What about the people who got nothing? What will they do now?

Is this really a fair system? You're pushing people to fatigue and desperation because of this housing system. We are all outraged.

Thank you for this post. I was one of the lucky ones that got a house as well but when I read the complaints in the housing forum, I always dismissed it as people who just wanted to whine. But you were able to present this situation in a way in which I can see the other perspective so this was very eye opening for me. Thank you for bring this issue to the fore front and I hope with increased visibility we can work toward a solution to this housing crisis.

Why people can't be nice to others... It's always about taking the other down and not respect each other. It's so childish. It's like no one is allowed to have an opinion and i agree that the housing is not fair and i'll probably get down for having an opinion too. Lol

I don't have a house too and i'll never get one while the housing is this way because i care about my sanity and health and want to stay away. I wish SE could think of a better solution thsn only wards band-aids.

Incorrect: you still have your gil, and thus the reward.

When the next ward extension drops, you can move/convert your plot w/o additional grinding if you hold on to the cash. That's how I got my medium house.

Yeah it sucks that there are server errors when such a patch drops but that's the nature of the beast when everyone and their grandma tries to log in and snatch a house.
