I would add a bestiary, a shopping guide and a shopping list.

When you defeat any monster it gets added to your bestiary, when you get a drop that info gets added as well. When you look and any shop vender your shopping guide notes where they are and what they sell.

The shopping list interfaces with those as well as the gathering, fishing and crafting logs. You can add things manually or you can add all the raw mats for something to it. You can add the mats to craft 15 of one thing and 20 of another, etc, and it would tally it all up and tell you where you can gather, purchase, or what you need to kill.
