Thanks for saying everything I wanted to already.A DPS pulling ahead being an issue speaks volumes more about your skill and abilities than a clear that may or may not have been bought.
You can't handle dungeon pulls and you expect people to believe you can clear Ramuh, Raktapasa, Birb portals and Shiva consistently? Right, must be Special April's Fools for posturing snowflakes.
I'm sure they're greyt, so skilled yet unable to deal with a dps who can find their sprint button.
Very smug condescending attitude you have. How many savage bosses have u cleared? How many ultimates? Oh that's right you have cleared nothing. You are very conceited and talk a lot of crap for someone who can't even do any endgame content.
If you think a level 70 WHM on Crystal that hasn't logged in for months is my main character you understand even less than I had previously assumed.
Which like... honestly, good job. Not much surprises me anymore but you managed to.
All you do is talk. I've invited you multiple times to log in with me. Let's see how great you are. What are you afraid of? I am once again inviting you to run any savage or ultimate with me. What do you say? Or would you prefer to hide in the forums and insult people.
I've cleared all the bosses he mentioned just fine and I don't ever tank dungeons because yes, I have an issue that dps pulling ahead without communication is acceptable behavior.
It has nothing to do with skill. You're not a skillful player because you tolerate herding toxic children in faceroll content that means nothing. Some players aren't interested in losing braincells playing badly in zerg content. We simply avoid it. I personally have better things to do with my time, like getting my tomes with a few hunt trains so I can relax, or run engaging endgame content in organized groups. But sure, keep telling yourself you're a brilliant and superior player for adapting to a bit of sloppy play in a Normal dungeon, of all things.
i guess my story is me mostly in the wrong and I guess fits in with the conversation happening.
same issues, i was tanking in Ander, I was pulling all I could. the last pull some people pull up to the group summoning, others like to pull everything. One of the dps was consistently pulling ahead throughout the dungeons, sprinting and such as other people describe. They kept going on the final pull as well. which is rude of them
but well i made it worse cause I decided to basically kite all the enemies around and not take aggro till both dps died. and they did, and they were mad. and when they asked what i was doing, i said "teaching you a lesson" which gross I know
which yea that makes me the asshole here and they called me as such and I agree that was a very petty thing I did. I should have just got the enemies, then politely said something like "please don't pull ahead like that, some people find it rude when dps pull ahead".
so I did not handle it well, and I made the situation way worse then it could have been.
so yea, idk i guess i have to check myself from being super petty when I'm annoyed at other players. I'm trying to be more patient but i obviously failed here.
i mean i guess we should all just try to be more accommodating to other players, if someone is going too slow, or too fast maybe we can just let people know politely to pull more or slow down. and not do what I did and be more rude back.

I do want to add that if they called you an "asshole" you can report them. I've gotten people in GM jail for abusing language. They will be jailed, given a lecture, and get a strike on their record. It's good that you didn't respond by cursing at them back. Just do what I did, ask them politely not to do it, and if they continue to grief you, vote kick them. Also be aware that SE will not tell you what they did to the offending players. You will only know if that player contact you afterward to complain or apologize.i guess my story is me mostly in the wrong and I guess fits in with the conversation happening.

I completely respect your take on this. I do think that being diligent about reporting verbally abusive players is always the right thing to do, as it is a tremendous benefit to the entire FF14 community. The abusive player will be less likely to level abuse at other players in the future knowing that they already have a strike in their account. And if they continue to do so, SE will see that they already have a strike and can move on to more severe punishments such as suspending their account permanently. So while I do respect your opinion, I still think it helps everyone when we report all offending players.
