"The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater."
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Given I was not referring to your one case but people in general, it makes me concerned that this 80% was actually just a bad Puppets Bunker run you had a poor experience with and tied in with other bad content runs you've had to come up with a really hyperbolic statement.
And my posts have been about people in general.
There can be multiple explanations as to why a healer hasn't done what you expect them to do in a given situation. Me? When I have party member do that, I talk to them. And I find that I get a huge mix of people. I get those who made an error in judgement, those who weren't thinking straight, those who thought they did the right thing or what was expected, that somebody else was on it, that they didn't notice something, that they tunnel visioned, that they are new and still learning, that they panicked, and most of the time I find people are responsive.
But I also get people who say that they don't care, that I don't pay their sub, that I shouldn't tell them how to do their job, ignore me, call me a bad name and so on. And cases where they seem to listen but don't improve.
So I am curious how you've ascertained in your huge percentage of cases that it was a toxic person who wants to only green DPS.
To draw a couple of example: a tank let me die in Titania yesterday, he went to DPS instead of take Puck off of me. I died, the other healer died. We wiped. I told the tank he should have been tanking Puck instead of focusing DPS. He simple said "I thought the other tank had it". Second pull, we complete it no problems.
The other example, I've had a tank before where they did do any of their tank mechanics, I tried to explain this to them and they told me I don't pay their sub and started to get abusive, we kicked and replaced him.
Both cases the tank did not do their job. Both cases we got wipes. One made an error in judgement, the other was an idiot with a crappy attitude. Both had different outcomes, one learned, one refused to.
Given one of the roles of a healer in this game is to green DPS, which is in this game's design. Is it not reasonable that in your army of people who green DPS that maybe not as many you think are bad or are toxic healers but people trying to do their job but are susceptible to human error?
Because I tend to find most healers aren't that bad. Given your use of hyperbole and you making assumptions, I feel it's likely that what's flawed here is your assessment on those healers you've had.
The Bunker was one example. But this is not only the Bunker. I would not generalize if I did not meet these people in different dungeons / raids at different times. When you have to remove heals from a progress / farm party because they doesn't heal. When I say "does not heal" I'm not talking about 70%, but about a group that is on the brink of survival (doom etc).Given I was not referring to your one case but people in general, it makes me concerned that this 80% was actually just a bad Puppets Bunker run you had a poor experience with and tied in with other bad content runs you've had to come up with a really hyperbolic statement.
This thread is hilarious!
i usually steamroll through content no problem. I don't know how much the healer class has changed coming from the time before havensward content. But on a wipe in a run for any trial/dungeon/raid i take the blame if i tank. I'm a persistence player, I don't care how many times i wipe cause the first win completion is more accomplishing to me no matter how many tries plus a new step up of learning more as a tank and or dps to stand out from others. If anyone has seen me as a dps in dungeons recently it was to help a friend or an fc member understand the content since their can't be two tanks to one dungeon and to help them gain exp while doing so. I help them learn and to protect them from getting ridiculed/trolled by the select few of players cause they were still new to the class even though they leveled through content pretty fast.

I met someone who wouldn't heal me yesterday. They were a scholar. Left me at 20% and I died to the next raid wide. Rezzed but wouldn't heal died again to the next raidwide. What class is your avatar? Scholar? Oh no, don't do that, my latest bad personal experience has made me biased against ALL scholars. Broiling away and not healing or shielding, only caring about their DPS.The Bunker was one example. But this is not only the Bunker. I would not generalize if I did not meet these people in different dungeons / raids at different times. When you have to remove heals from a progress / farm party because they doesn't heal. When I say "does not heal" I'm not talking about 70%, but about a group that is on the brink of survival (doom etc).
"Toss a coin to your scholar?" No thank you, I'm now biased against all scholars even though there may be good scholars out there, like you I've had enough and will use hyperbole to emphasise my point. 80% of all scholars I've come across, which is bizarrely 40 because I don't pay attention to party makeups unless I'm looking for bad players to support my prejudice, have just let me die. I remember it clearly like it was yesterday, a sunny Saturday with a brilliantly lit sky, that's how clearly I remember things.

I just don't like people spreading misinformation on this forum which is often visited by new players.
Saying "glare-spamming WHMs" as if it's a bad thing makes it seem like you shouldn't be spamming Glare as a WHM... this is false. You very much should be.
I am a Glare-spamming WHM and I'm proud of it. I mean, in actuality I'm more of a Malefic-spamming AST but the principal is still the same.
Stop discouraging people from playing correctly. It's bad.
Obvious bait thread is obvious. Yes, I've read the entire 16 pages. The title is misleading, OP is contradicting himself left and right, had to get a FC member to help defend his 'point'. If you're going argue a claim, don't flip flop and go around contradicting yourself.
0/10 try again and harder next time, OP.
