Guess we'll know by the time they do the online fan fests.
Well the girl specifically refers to the job as "Apothecary" and not Chemist, which could just be the same thing with a different name or perhaps a slightly different take on the concept.

Also, while on the topic of one off classes, I would love to see FF6's Pictomancer, aka Relm and her ability to sketch monsters. Fleshing out the concept as an art mage of sorts would also mean that the Ink Mages of the Hero's Gauntlet could be the hint as well.

Fair. I've never had the chance to play Final Fantasy 9.

    Bozja vagueness.

So with info we now have in regards to a certain zone being filled with a certain class that hasn’t been implemented yet.

And the poster boy for the class having a unique model one handed axe and shield (while I cannot be sure about the rest other than they also use the weapon type) I think we can put to rest the melee vs “creating a new mid range” vs ranged argument for the next limited job.

    RIP Whip, boys.

Now it'll just be a question of whose armor it borrows. I would guess probably MNK based on how little the poster boy wears, though fingers crossed for NIN since there's basically no other job option for Scouting gear.

Granting if it uses a shield, a Limited Tank isn't off the table either...

That's TOO much foreshadowing in Bozja for BST not to be a near future job, whether limited or not.

Then I'm also betting on an Apotechary healer... They still got 2 major content patches to fill in with stuff, so maybe we'll get a hint on that as well.

They usually DO start teasing a new job around this time in the patching cycles, except nin got implemented in the .4 mark i believe. Havent touched bozja yet, but i could see BST as a believable job. Any idea what kind of attacks or armor they show it using/doing? Could still be a phys ranged with a caveat, or just simple melee. It wouldnt surprise me if they do actually get down to making BLU a non-limited caster by 6.4, considering theyre going to increase its xp cap in 5.4

probably end up with 4 tank 4(or 5) melee 3(or 4 ranged) 3(or 4 midway through next expansion/last half)full caster and 4 healers. RIP Mystic Knight then, at least for another expansion. Who knows what they will do by that time. After this following expansion it is literally past the 10 year goal post set for ARR. But considering the games success, i could see them doing at least another expansion past 6.0. Maybe next expansion there will be a G=Warrior mode, would be cool to have mecha pvp or exploration.

Its not gospel yet, but there seems to be at least a considerable amount of reasonability to think these 2 would be likely. Chemist and BST, though these could just be curve balls thrown at us, like MCH ended up being instead of Chemist.

I firmly believe BST will be a limited job.

Reson is: pets, or rather, the inability of XIV's tech (aka sphagetti code) to fully support pet playstyle with regular jobs in duties, given the example on how far SMN's Egis got from a fully functional "true" pet system. They are practically on the verge of being completely deleted. Unless they have some sort of huge tech overhaul incoming, I can't really see it.

Instead, I think BST will inevitably fall into the Limited box, promoting a gameplay revolving on pet collection and pet combat. Basically a built-in pokemon style game. Now, how that actual playstyle is gonna be, I'm defnitely not sure, but the whole concept of pet collector/combat suits their idea of Limited Job much more than BLU, and if it's really the case, I hope they learned from its faults. I don't really have an issue on BLU as a limited job, but I do have many about the actual execution of the idea.

I hope it wields a whip!

The main beastmaster has a unique model one handed axe and also wielding a shield. And the beastmaster in all the skirmishes and critical engagements are all wielding 1 handed axes, I don’t think they will be getting a whip.

Recent patches have put a pretty solid foundation under guesses for a Beastmaster Limited job wielding 1H Axes/Shields, and a potion-based healer (though its weapons and combat/healing style are still unknown).
So far nothing hinting at imminent plans for the other full job for next expansion... yet.

I guess it makes sense for BST to be a melee job from a design standpoint. SMN already covers the Ranged Pet Job niche, where a Melee Pet Job is a relatively underrepresented archetype. Plus whipping your pet repeatedly to get it to attack would get PETA swarming like flies on a pig. The shield is a bit sketchy though.

I've never had any doubts about BST being a Limited Job if it were ever to be released, for the exact same reasons given for why BLU ended up as a Limited Job: There would be no way to balance the job around giving players the ability to tame/train distinctive pets, because you can't possibly predict what pets the player will have tamed or selected before queuing for a dungeon, or how strong they are. Not in a programmatic way, at any rate.
You'd either run into players being asked "Why didn't you bring X pet?" "Because I don't HAVE that one yet!", or having all of the pets be reskins off a much more limited selection like SMN gets where the fundamental taming aspect of the identity is purely cosmetic.

That being said, I'm curious as to what BST gameplay would bring to the table for a Limited Job. I've heard some players suggest it would involve a training/breeding/ranching minigame where you level and stat-boost your pets, and others suggest you could train multiple "classes" of pet and then take a full party of them to solo dungeons... but the former sounds an awful lot like what we already have for Chocobos (or the Gold Saucer Chocobo Racing), while the latter just sounds like what we already have with Squadrons or Trusts.
Still, could be neat to be able to summon your own party out in the world while you're FATE-grinding, much like BLUs spamming massive AoEs and Death spells.
