I honestly don't know what people are complaining about.
Dlying loses you barely 10% of what you gain from a Skirmish of CE. Unless you keep dying repeatedly, or you return to camp, you're still making net progress.
This is far, far better than Eureka

Wait till you go to castrum with a group that is learning. A dead is almost 1k. Having to return is almost 4500. In my first run, I dropped from around 190k to 155k.

Ah Ty. I also found a tweet that lists the enemies that drop the clusters 50% of the time.
@Packetdancer Any enemy that is labled "4th Legion ____" seem to drop the clusters either 25% or 50% in any of the levels.

Farming death is easy, so what I'm doing now is using it against any rank 3. It's going quick, even if I solo.

Or perhaps they're hoping people will balance the choice between "do it faster" and "engage with new content for longer".

I think they're basically giving people who do not enjoy BSF an easy out, but fully intend for everyone to complete BSF's story portion. Do it once basically, and if you hate it, easy relics outside. I think a lot of people are in for an upsetting time if they never do BSF, and the next portion comes out and they can't progress the quest because they didn't do BSF lol

Like I said in some other thread - if completing BSF is necessary for the next relic step, then just like in Stormblood I pretend there is no such thing as a relic.

But it all scales. 1k is nothing when you earn 10k from a CE.
The fact that you managed to get to 190k in less than 2 days shows this is trivial as all hell.
The equivalent in Eureka would take over a week.
