Just lost a house I camped for 13 hours to someone who clicked for less than a minute

Good job for torturing people SE. This housing system is disgusting. Who like to waste hours like that? Why any in the devs team don't ha heart and emotions to know what you do to your customers is so wrong?

I felt this way a few times about XI as well.

I would definitely list my medium plot on the market board if there was an in-game way to sell them on. That would also be a convenient way for buyers to browse a list of plots and make an instant purchase.

18 consecutive hours, and I lost 2 plots each to a random dude who just walked up and clicked. The first time it was me and one other person, but the last time there were 4 other people around spamming like I was.
I saved for months for this. I rearranged my schedule so I could be up for when the servers launched and have time in case I needed to wait for a plot to open.
Shame on me for thinking SE might have done something about the demand. I feel like the housing system is a giant middle finger from SE to the player base.
Glad WoW had a patch today, because I am too damn aggravated to log into this game again tomorrow.

They probably relocated so they were able to bypass the house timers. Don't feel too bad, I've lost houses to this type of events before, as have many other players.

I know for a fact that the guy who ran up to me for my house didn't relocate. To begin with, he didn't have a house to relocated with (empty lot), and he spent several tries (about four or five) before he got it.

I'm now on my fourth or fifth hour clicking on my second try. Been up 30 hours now... still have up to 17 more to go...

The whole housing system is ridiculous. I dont know why they continue to operate it like this.

I would guess because somebody looks at a graph of the number of logins when there's a new ward and goes, "Wow look at how many people are desperately trying to login! They must LOVE the Housing system to be this dedicated!" Plus once people have gone to all that difficulty of even getting a house, they're very, very, unlikely to unsub for- well, any length of time because they don't want to risk losing it.

I have to give props to people who camp those signs for any length of time. I don't have the patience to do it for more than maybe thirty seconds, I don't know how you manage to do it again and again without snapping.

The stupid ps4 launcher can auto update, but when you're logged in waiting for servers to come online, it will force you to close app just to log in again and get into queue. This should probably be addressed with time sensitive content like housing, several of us were up an hour or more before maintenence was done and thrown into queue after having to refresh/restart the game entirely. This includes PC players as well since a couple of us were on PC. In real time, talking about the twitter posts before hand, as well as patch notes, etc. To be fair, I'm not big on the housing, but it is very obvious the system is unfair on several fronts, especially the random wait times after reclaimation/relinquishing plots. Had people waiting at plots for days, and it "randomely" becomes available when people finally log off/AFK fpr a short nap after being awake for days on end. This system is stupid, especially for a subscription based game. Might as well add XL houses to the cash shop and call it a day at this point.

I've played this game for years. I've done endgame content, crafting, leveled multiple classes to max. I truly love this game. All I want is a house. The system is broken. And you can tell me that they're working on it, or I need to camp more often or longer. I have a job and kids. I don't have the time for that. Everyone knows the housing system is broken. THIS GAME IS 13 YEARS OLD..... You're telling me it takes longer than that to figure out housing in an mmo!?!? No excuse anymore. I've unsubbed. Square Enix is clearly content with having the housing stay as is. I'll come back if they ever add instanced housing or some other fix. They won't ever address it unless more people do what I'm doing now. PS5 is coming out and plenty of new games. I'll miss FFXIV, but I wont be bored.

i did it every 15 mins, 30mins then the full hr and got the house for our fc. its no point to rush the purchase screen with million other players doing the same thing it creates too many delays to that feature.
