Spells and Abilities to look forward to.

Final fantasy XIV is a MMO and a mainline Final Fantasy. As such it has a lot of recurring names, skills and spells.

What are some spells you would like to see for the healer jobs? For already existing jobs (WHM, AST and SCH), or other possible healer jobs (Such as Chemist, Oracle, Sage, Time Mage and so on.)

I would like WHM's AoEs to be appropriately named.

Personally I would love Scholar to have Libra, Kaustra and Embrava.

Libra/Scan is such a iconic spell. I guess we do have Chain Stratagem that serves as a sort of visual portmanteau of the classic skill. (Analysis type of spell)
Kaustra and Embrava are two sides of the same coin, they are SCH's strongest spells in damage/debuff and healing/buff. They could serve as SCH's "finisher", as it's the only job that doesn't have a build-up-burst type of skill.

For WHM I'd love to have water elemental spells, though it seems elemental magick is discarded come ShB. Alternatively we might see a potency and animation upgrade to Holy with "Last Resort" or "Holyga".

For AST, I recall FFIX "Astral Flare" or "Star Flare" spell. I imagine we could get an upgrade to Gravity with a more Astral oriented magic.

I want WHM to get Protect (back) and Shell.
If they're breaking down the regen/shield dichotomy, then WHM will need some more shielding capability.

AST could do with an AoE version of Intersection as well. Opposition would probably be the better fit and then give it another non-opposite AoE skill to make up for it.

I'd like the next healer, specifically Chemist, to be able to fully mix and match shields and regens on the fly, as a kind of advanced AST that's not tied to sects.

I'd like WHM to get water, watera, waterga, waterja, aeroja, flood, tornado, quake, holyga and holyja (I don't recall ever a Holyra or holy-2)
Pipe dream: protect and shell back

Y'know, Iconic spells that all the npcs and enemies get to use but we can't

AST I would like to get lightspeed renamed to haste. Disable returned (a classic time mage spell) Gravira, Graviga and Gravija. Pipe dream spells: Teleport, Comet, Demi, Almagest, Extend (we had time dilation which was basically this)

SCH- Imperil, Libra, Debillitate/Degenerate, Sap (as a return to its dots)

The spells listed as ra-ga-ja are ones I could see as an upgrade. Especially given how poor healer damage is at the present compared to dps as opposed to previous expansions

Glare 5, Broil 7, and Malefic 12. Each expansion has to boost the glow factor ever so marginally.

I'd like to see Float show up as an ability that lets you boost your movement speed and let you cast while moving.
