0 on my blist.

I have a few people on my black list, but only those who have:
- spammed shouts to sell things
- spammed emotes like "laugh" repeatedly for several minutes
- shouted jokes
... basically, people who make themselves public nuisances.
Otherwise, it is a completely personal choice. No one should care how many people you have on your friend list or black list.
Too many, or too little. It doesn't matter to anyone but the individual using it.

I would only blacklist for spamming gil seller types or if someone was actually harassing me.
But it is your blacklist and you can use it however you want.
Why does your linkshell leader care? Unless you have BL people you are expected to play with.

I think I have 2 sellers from launch and I also try to talk things out; had to do that for our last LS with a guy who constantly talked about nothing or was giving us the play by plays of his leve quests. -.-
Otherwise, it's your choice. Your paying for a game and if you have a way to make it enjoyable for you, that's all that really matters.![]()

If it makes you feel better, I often blacklist people if they rub me the wrong way. (This doesn't work quite well if you're the linkshell leader though).
I also often take people "off" my blacklist (people come and go) if I think about the reason I put them in the first place and it ends up being over something silly. Some cases people would come off the blacklist and it works out fine after that, other times I take them off and I remember as to why I put them on it in the first place lol :x
Anyway yeah, it's your game, and if you want to play the game without interaction from said people, the only person who has a say in it is you.
he just thought it was crazy and funny that i had about 2% of the server population blacklisted

Seconding Laela, sometimes people will come off if it has been a while. But if they go back on for the same reason, they will likely stay on.

Depends, some dick specifically stole pops of an nm from me in XIV, after asking him to trade off or team up, I just needed 1 kill, and noticed he was farming, so I'd help him a couple kills and get my 1 kill he could get the drop. He says no. I blist him, later on he can't do content with my party because 3 people have him blisted, his ls leader has to apologize for him (which isn't his job, its not his fault someone in his ls sucks). If you blist them for being a general annoying and outright rude player, thats 100% fine, it starts to get gray when you're blisting people for iffy things like excuses, or not showing up for events, that's not generally acceptable. If that person did something wrong to you personally that caused you a loss of something (time gil w/e), or did something to a friend you know and you're not ok with it, blist them, for making excuses? that's ridiculous, just ignore that person, but you're in a ls, you'll have to content with people you hate sometimes, its an mmo suck it up, I hate people and I still have to go outside and listen to the most idiotic people talk, it annoys me, but i can't blist people in real life nor can I ragequit it. An mmo is a microcosm of real life, you have to treat people in FF games similar to real life people, if they're annoying you might ignore them, but what if they are also useful? Same ls is kind of like same job, you can't just blist people at your work.

I blacklist people that don't laugh about Chuck Norris facts!
