Please delay savage till after new years

The savage is not going anywhere, it will apply on december and it will be there forever, its not time limited event or something. if you want to do family event then go for it, that's a once a year event dont let the game dictate your life.

Its not about that. This is about the people who want to prog the fights as fast as possible. Never before have we had to choose between raiding and christmas of all things, christmas was always around the time the tier had been on farm for weeks or months by that point. Some groups simply wont have a choice, either delay prog by a WHOLE month, or force people to raid during the holidays. What about those that go abroad during the holidays? They wont even be around for the patch, and what if they want to compete for world first?

Pretty sure people won't be "going abroad" this year.

And no one takes a whole month off for holiday breaks.

Most places it's the last two weeks of the year.

Many of us don't get vacations at all.

This. I got very lucky in that I'm in a static that prioritizes mental health and real life above everything else because we're all adults with lives and in some cases children to take care of. If it takes a little longer for us to prog because of real life then so be it, we'd rather get it done in our own time instead of zerging it down to the detriment of real life commitments. It's not like the fight is going anywhere since it's the last tier for the entire expansion.

We never had to deal with a new raid during the holiday season. Because Covid has delayed their schedule by like 2 months or so having the raid come out near a holiday season is not good for a lot of people. Had it come out on the original scheduled time it wouldn't be a issue it would be on farm with like a clear in 1 hour a week and not a big deal. When a new raid comes out it usually takes 2-3 weeks of hardcore proging to get everything on farm for your average group not a world first group. Blizzard does this as well with their games, they never release a raid during December because they don't want to make people to feel obligated to raid.

Iirc, Final Coil of Bahamut came out at the very end of October 2014. This meant a lot of groups were still doing it through Halloween and Thanksgiving. While not on the level of Christmas for as many people, it was still a holiday season.

And also at that time, you still had to actually beat the previous tier of raiding, which many more casual groups still hadn't done by the time of Final Coil's release. Meaning that a lot of groups were just getting into Final Coil in December. I also quite vividly remember meeting someone who was bragging about beating Bahamut Prime on Thanksgiving day heh.

Just talk it over with your group. Many groups face raiding during the holidays, and most of the ones I've been in always take breaks for holidays, regardless of which nation's holiday is going on, in the case of international statics.

There's no need to delay Savage, because it won't affect all raiding groups. I'm sure there are groups out there who don't care about family visitations at all during the holiday season. For a lot of people, it's a very negative season associated with neglect and abuse, and they'd rather be raiding if their group is up for it, over being alone.

This made me chuckle. You're either exaggerating or using a very different definition for "hardcore" than I am. 3 hours of raiding for 2 days a week is not "hardcore" and that's roughly what the average static does, maybe 3 days a week if they're feeling adventurous.
Hardcore would be going for a week 1 clear if we exclude the world first groups.

No more delays pls. People can spend time with family and then raid. It's the same as January when people have to work then raid. Well raiding after 8-12 hours of work is actually worse.

Just like the other thread, the bolded highlights it all.. YOUR STATIC, YOUR PROBLEM. This game isnt here to cater your dramatic antic demands. If you have an issue with your raiding schedule, I suggest you take it up with your static.

No thank you, we already had a massive delay with the current patch due to corona. This game needs new content asap. Some players have cleared the current tier months ago like me.
