Please delay savage till after new years

I saw that patch 5.4 was going to come out in early December as said in the live letter. However if savage is released at the same time this is going to conflict with the holiday season if we have to prog a savage tier in December when people will be doing stuff with their family.

Having the patch come out is fine and normal modes are fine but if savage is released in the prime time holiday season in December peoples raid groups are going to expect them to do prog and miss spending time with family or your raid group might replace you.

Please save savage for 5.41 in January.

I've always seen, and probably why I don't care to do it anymore, raiding (savage) content like a job- and it's easier to say find a new job than it is to actually do it lol. Or maybe a new relationship or something.

Not that I'm saying it's horrible advice lol, just I can also see where OP might be coming from - even if I don't care to bother with that sort of content as I just find having to revolve my life around the game as an unnecessary stress (for me).

I'm mostly hoping they decided to make the Ishgard Restoration a 5.45 thing instead of beginning a week or two after the patch release as per usual.

Would be nice to have ample time to mess with savage before having to worry about another ranking session.

They said in the live letter that 5.41 likely won't be until January since they'll be dealing with bugs right after 5.4 releases then they want everyone to have time with their families for the holidays.

They said Hotfixes wont be until after new years.

5.41 definitely won't be until the usual for those.

Its not about that. This is about the people who want to prog the fights as fast as possible. Never before have we had to choose between raiding and christmas of all things, christmas was always around the time the tier had been on farm for weeks or months by that point. Some groups simply wont have a choice, either delay prog by a WHOLE month, or force people to raid during the holidays. What about those that go abroad during the holidays? They wont even be around for the patch, and what if they want to compete for world first?

Guess savage doesn't matter that much. If you're in a group that doesn't make time for RL and its not a world first group, your as much to blame as them. Savage is still gonna be there after the holidays and so will people doing it needing more people.
