About new hairstyles

Expecting I'll get blasted for saying this, but I certainly do not mean to offend anyone with these certain words...but... I would love to see more masculine hairstyles added, because it seems to be that most of the recent hairstyles that have been added are vastly more feminine in appearance. Sure, we got the one new style added by default with Shadowbringers that looks like we just got out of the shower, but I can't think of anything else that's been added lately that's more suited for male characters than female. I'm sure this is because 98% of the people play female characters, so I should probably just stop hoping for anything at this point. Anyway, this goes for short or long styles, as most of the long styles are definitely geared more towards female characters, there are definitely ways of styling long hair to look more masculine than feminine that I would like to see too.

The demand for more masculine hairstyles is quite large. What we have now, what is available to us, is incredibly stale and boring and the contest winners just ain't doing it for me. They really ought to make every single hairstyle available to everyone at some point because there are definitely some male hairstyles that I would like my female to wear.

Which is strange because I feel the opposite. While a few have definitely been feminine, most have turned me off because to me they seem better suited to male characters.

Perhaps the truth is somewhere in between - those hairstyles just aren't appealing in general whether someone is looking for masuline or feminine. There's way too many variations of wild spiky hair and not enough variations of smooth or flowing styles.

As much as I would love to see a lot more longer hairstyles, I don't expect them because of clipping problems. More shoulder length styles instead of the usual chin length should be possible though.

Also, the female to male character ratio isn't nearly that bad. If we exclude Viera and Hrothgar because they're genderlocked and can't use most of these hairstyles, it's about 60% female and 40% male.

I would like more "windblown" type hairstyles of different lengths. No spikey ones. We have enough spiky/cover one eye/superman bang hairstyles. I feel that something we are missing other than long hairstyles, is bun hairstyles. Messy buns, High buns, low buns, French Twists, more than 1 man bun, braided buns, large buns with and without bangs, top knots, buns with accessories. Normal and high ponytails. Gaia, Ysayle, Ryne's hair. Ashe, Rinoa, Squall, Seifer, Yuna (X), Fran's, Beatrix just to name a few. I hope that another contest rolls around soon, I'd like to submit my own idea for at least some hope to get something that can be worn and favored by both genders, and something that stands apart from what we've gotten thus far.
